Yes, I can understand this. You are told that you are registering for the "conservative" party, then wham!, you find out it's not conservative at all.
I've been duped!
To: Hadean
I would like this looked into very closely. I’d like to see who exactly is behind it.

And now the democrats begin to try and pin all this voter fraud on Republicans.
Just like 2000 Florida re-count, it was all the republicans fault, voter suppression etc. When the freaking dims were in charge.
They are truly evil people

They probably changed their own party affiliations to vote for republicans in the primaries.

Let’s see, one person/one state/dozens (claimed) vs thousands of ACORN persons/14 states/at least 200,000 that we know of.
Only in the mind of a DIMocrat.

If you believe any of this crap, I know a guy in Nigeria who will make you very rich if you give him your bank account number.

I call BS.
I was registered to vote in California for years (probably still am, come to think of it.) You have to be deaf, dumb and blind to NOT know you are signing a voter registration card.

I hope this doesn’t hurt McCain’s chances in California.

What does it matter, the primaries are over? They can still vote for the candidate of their choice in the privacy of the voting booth.
They can also change their registration back to democrat at any time as well.
To: SandyInSeattle
Here in Michigan you have to put a lot more info on a voter registration than you would ever put on a petition.

And now the democrats begin to try and pin all this voter fraud on Republicans. Not exactly correct.
They don't want to blame Pubbies, but it does give the democrats a talking point to counter the ACORN accusation.
Up until this point all they had was lies and denials
Now when ACRON is brought up they can take this small minor GOP issue which we really don't even know is a actual problem or not and counter point to neutralize ACORN blatant fraud

Very true. The only problem with registering in California is making sure you are registered with the party you asked to be affiliated with. Now on my third go-round, because of moves, they’ve finally listed me as an R. Twice before I was shown as an independent. And I’m not alone in this, I’ve spoken to many people who have the same problem: Rs shown as independents.

This thread inspired me to call the OC registrar of voters and make sure I was removed from the rolls when I moved. (I was.)
I don’t want some yahoo using my identify to cast a vote for The One.
