well I was pretty pumped up an hour ago (going to Prince Willaim) and then I read to two blogs from the “I won’t support McCain under any circumstances and let the marxists take over blog”, so now I’m wondering how strong we are again.

I’ve gone 10 days not looking at RCP because I got tired of all the polls oversampling Dems. I’m so pi$$ed right now, I just want this election to be over, I want McCain to win and I want to get on with my life.

Thanks for the ping - going to the Roswell, NM rally. It’s about 3 hours from here and hubby was kind enough to get tickets while I was working in AZ this week. He got to see Sarah and McCain in Albuquerque, but I really want to see her so I’m thrilled he said he wanted to go!

I will try to get some good photos (cross your fingers) and I’ll definitely share!

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2, 2000 – Are there legal restrictions placed upon DoD military and civilian employees’ political activities because of their unique roles as public servants?

Yes, there are. The “Dos and Don’ts” are listed under the federal Hatch Act, originally legislated in 1939 and updated seven years ago. The Hatch Act restricts the political activity of executive branch employees, including DoD civilian employees, and the employees of the District of Columbia government and certain state and local agencies. Members of the armed forces are also subject to Hatch Act provisions.

Allowable activities include running for nonpartisan public office; registering and voting as one chooses; assisting in voter registration drives; attending political fundraisers, rallies and meetings; and holding office in political clubs or parties.

As examples of prohibitions, federal employees generally may not solicit or receive political contributions, and they may not engage in political activity while on duty, in a government office or while wearing an official uniform.

In 1993, congressional legislation substantially amended the Hatch Act, enabling most federal and District employees to engage in many types of political activity outside the workplace that were previously forbidden. Provisions applying to state and local government employees were not changed.

For more information how the Hatch Act affects military personnel and federal civilian employees, access the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s Federal Hatch Act Web site at http://www.osc.gov/ha_fed.htm.

hello newbie....try sitting thru 8 yrs of Clintonista treatment then come back here and complain...

the strong will win this election...

DON'T GO WOBBLY ON US...WE ARE WINNING...AS THE ENEMY IMPLODES, BECAUSE MORE UNSCRUPULOUS, MORE EVIL, IT SHOWS WE ARE WINNING...

believe that there is a concerted effort to depress OUR vote and our spirits by the enemy...don't let them do it...

DON'T GO WOBBLY!
