When you go to the actual picture the dimensions look quite different.

In the linked picture in the article the crowd seems to stretch out for some distance.

When you go to the actual picture the crowds seems much closer.

Also there is a fence line around Obama which makes the crowd inside look larger than it is.

It's a very large crowd, but I don't think it's 100,000

Unfortunately I think it probably was 100,000.

I think we may have to accept the inevitable.

“Don’t get too excited. I had several co-workers go who are McCain supporters just for the “spectacle” of it. McCain/Palin would’ve drawn as many....not hard to get a crowd at the arch.”

MEET THE CANDIDATE:........CHICAGO — The Nation of Islam, a secretive movement generally closed to outsiders, has planned a rare open-to-the public event at its Chicago-based headquarters in what the Minister Louis Farrakhan deemed a “new beginning” for the group. Hundreds of religious leaders of different faiths have been invited to the event planned for Sunday, a rededication of the group’s historic Mosque Maryam on the city’s South Side. Farrakhan is scheduled to speak. “We have restored Mosque Maryam completely, and we will dedicate it to the universal message of Islam, and the universal aspect of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad,” Farrakhan said in an invitation letter. “It represents for the Nation of Islam, a new beginning.”

“Ummm, I read somewhere that “Obama drew 100,000 in McCain country” well that is not correct. MISSOURI is McCain country for the most part. St. Louis is NOT. I live here, I should know. Not a conservative city by any means.”

In the close-ups I find it interesting how many red shirts I see, as that is supposedly the “Republican” color.

Gawds, people, don’t panic that a predominately AA city near the Illinois border got a lot of bots to attend.
