NLP would not work well on a crowd, it is more a specific one to one interaction.
I do not think this is hypnosis...it is more in line with the seemingly ‘hypnotic” effect very excellant speakers have. In Obozo’s case, it is the combination of a very gifted speaker to mass crowds and the demagoguary (sp?) ...ie, Hitler, Farakhan, Rev wright.
The same effect, in a positive way can be done also by positive inspiring speakers, ie, Joel Olsteen, Billy Graham,etc.
I think the important thing is to focus on how Obozo uses his gift to lie and manipulate , but not for the good. I sure wouldn’t go down this “hypnosis” conspiracy route.

30 years ago there was an episode of “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” where a fast rising politician was found to have used mass hypnosis in his run for office... Life immitates art... BTW the folks on the sub stopped him in the end...
I DO go into a trance when I listen to Obama speak.
After awhile I can see his lips move, but all I hear is “blah blah blah blah...8 years of George Bush..”
I say to my husband “what the hell did he just say?”
Ericksonian Hypnosis and NLP is a genuine thing but difficult to prove that to was being used.
One would need to assemble a panel of hypnotherapists to evaluate his speeches and appearances.
my dad (a chiropractor) took classes in hypnosis. he hypnotized my mother on a regular basis to help her with weight loss. he hypnotized me to help me get better grades in math. funny, the math grades went up, and my mother never lost weight til years later.
p.s. I do believe what he is doing is possible. might have something to do with his pale blue colors in the logo, or something like that. but millions of people are being affected by this. amazing.

This is not just a recent deal - by all rights he shouldn’t have even been 2nd or 3rd to Hillary. The guy has no history or accomplishments (although maybe that helped him, as there was little to pin him down on)

NOte that the PDF is worth reading although I just skimmed the first 16 pages to get to the part where they start providing examples of Obama’s techniques. The document can be hard to make oneself read because it initially seems preposterous and the formatting is annoying but you do need to read through it to understand the better material that occurs toward the end. I and a few other posters found the footnotes to be worth reading and we checked out various web pages linked there.
For those who don’t want to read the doc a suggestion: If you do watch the 30minute infomercial Obama has planned pre-Superbowl, sit down with pencil and paper and jot down a few notes about these topics: (make a beer game out of it!)
1. Make a mark on the paper each time Obama says a literal or figurate truth (i.e. today is a new day, I am standing here, we are here together etc, we need change.) This is to lower psychological defenses and he does it evenly and repetatively to keep logic barriers down.
2. Write down the last word Obama says before each long pause. He talks in 4 to 8 word sentences slowly - write down the word just before the pause. It should be words or impressions he intends for you to involuntarily recall on voting day.
Extra Credit: Note instances where he holds thumb and forefinger together like a pencil.
If you see these behaviors during the informercial - you may want to come back and read the PDF so you may want to save a copy now just in case! : )
These are just a few of the simplest techniques covered in teh document. By the time you add them all up it no longer looks like coincidence.
Unfortunately, if Obama is indeed using hypnotic techniques, his Superbowl infomercial is his last chance to reach more people and to fortify hynotic suggestions for those he has already reached. If he is even partially sucessful - then a number of people will not know why they changed their vote to vote for Obama at the last moment on Nov 4th.
Also - one poster on one of those threads posted a 30 year old film clip of a Russian defector describing the stages of mass manipulation (similar but not formally the same) planned for the US...way back then! And...sadly enough - he was quite right. Here’s the eerily prescient old film clip:

Maybe this is why he needs to use teleprompter, to follow the script exactly. And he wants 30-minute prime time, to affect wider audience.
Like Bill O’Reilly.. he was ready to really go after the guy until he agreed to an interview, now BOR cannot kiss Obama’s feet hard enough each and every day... he even had Laura Ingraham scratching her head on his show Thursday evening, go to his site and watch the exchange... it’s a jaw-dropper.
This post interests me. What also interests me is that the PDF doesn’t seem to have a signed author, although the PDF refers to a “Daniel” as the author, perhaps the “Daniel Zanoza” mentioned in the file?
Either way, someone went to an awful lot of trouble to make this document... not something that was banged out overnight.
I was at the bowling alley where he rolled his infamous 37. Blue collar place in Altoona, PA. You would not believe how the people there stuck up for him: “there were cameras and flashes there, it made it hard to bowl” & “his last frame was a spare and he didn’t roll, it should have been a 47”

Although the article claims Obama is a master of hypnotic technique, one would assume that like everything else, this too has been handed him. The question is by whom? Who is his trainer? Who does his speechwriters consult with?
The first time I heard Obama speak I was reminded of Bill Ayers. They use many of the same techniques. I watched Ayers take over the rational minds of small groups of people some of which became his followers (39 years ago). As I gradually learned about the connections between Ayers and Obama I have felt a certain dread.
Obama simply is not intelligent enough to understand this, let alone use it. He truly is a mental midget.
I did look for an author, and not finding one, posted where it came from. Maybe this is Hillary’s “October Surprise” ;)
Either way, it does offer a possible explanation why otherwise level-headed people would go ga-ga over a hack politician. We never saw anything like this for Gore or Kerry, or even Clinton. I’m not sure we’ve seen it for any politicians on either side in recent memory, and there is no reason for it. Obama has done NOTHING in his career. Not a war hero, or Nobel Laureate or great statesman. NADA.
And it’s not just the (R) side talking, Hillary should have left him in the dust. If he is buying time for 1/2 hour spots, it would be worth putting some NLP experts together to pick it apart, and get that on YouTube post haste (or LiveLeak, if Google is busy editing YouTube content)
