Romo should have listened to Favre.

As a life long WI resident and Packer fan...I can’t agree more with you. What a jerk.

We should start a campaign: all Favre memorabilia should mailed to him with a note simplying stating: “YOU SUCK”

“Charles Woodson: Brett Favre’s trying to sabotage the Packers”

GREEN BAY, Wis. - “Cornerback Charles Woodson says that if a media report indicating that Brett Favre shared inside knowledge of the Green Bay Packers’ offense with Detroit Lions coaches is true, it’s nothing short of sabotage.”

“Has one of the most beloved players in Packers history become Benedict Brett?”

“Favre - who was traded to the New York Jets after a prolonged, ugly split with the Packers’ front office this summer — was not asked about the report after the Jets’ loss at Oakland on Sunday.”

“But in a text message to an NBC reporter before the Seahawks-Buccaneers primetime game, Favre strongly denied the report.”

Ohhhh, that’s not good. That means he will have a good season but disappear in the playoffs. He will also likely cheat on his wife with a 75 year old has been.

I have already lost a lot of respect for him. If this is true-—and, to be frank, it has the ring of truth as it is consistent with the nasty petulance Brett has revealed through his “troubles” with the Packers-—it will just take him from the “Lost Respect For” column into “One of the Biggest Disappointments in Modern Sports” column.

I must say that I’ve gotten to the point where every week I hope for the Jets’ defeat and for Brett’s QB rating to go in the toilet.

I hate fraud, waste and abuse, and Favre has shoveled all of those.

Back in April, he also denied reports he wanted to unretire.

So his denial of this story may not be true, either.

Favre not sure if he will be back with the Jets next season.

“Favre on next season: Let’s wait and see

“It took only six weeks into the regular season, but Brett Favre today fielded his first question about whether he’ll come back to play next season.”

Wait, I didn’t see that coming.

/s

It was foreseeable anyway, but the fact is he wanted a one-year contract with the Jets and he got it.

In one of the first games when he took a beating, it was obvious he was going “what the heck am I doing out here.” Same body language as during the bitter cold play-offs last year-—he’s so over football. He’s just not over the loss of prestige that comes with retirement.

But going to NY has helped that. He complained to the MNF booth-crew that NY was “so different” from Wisconsin. In NY, they don’t even care that you’re Brett Favre, much less a professional football player! In Green Bay, people really looked up to and liked the players!

Golllly.

Oh, and in NY, Brett said it takes so long to get anywhere because of traffic.

He was a total doofus to do this instead of making a post-career career out of being One of the Most Beloved Icons in Sports.

Just damn.

That’s the problem with lying/waffling, isn’t it?

Follow the money, or, if there is no money involved, follow the character trait.

I say it’s completely possible that Favre is out there jawboning with and spilling Packer secrets to opponents. I don’t see how anyone could trust him not to, at the least.

“To give Brett his due though, he found himself isolated by age, and culture from all of the younger players. All his team mates from the glory years had gone, and he just didn’t have anything in common with the new guys.”

I can agree with that. Some of them were probably only half his age.

Jerry Jones should have drafted a quarterback instead of relying on Romo. Less then impressed and Farve never was high on my list.

The guy is self-absorbed and

Which does not make him unique amongst professional athletes, unfortunately.

Favre has never...showed up at a team fun function.... never talked.... he had his own isolated locker... he had refused to be a mentor.... If you asked him a question, he would walk right past you...

Sounds a lot like Barry Bonds as well.

I've heard some of these things before so I am not surprised.

Too bad isn't it? To have such a golden opportunity to do well.

If he hasn’t pulled this “retiring/unretiring again and again” stunt, he’d still be a Packer. I have no sympathy for him on that.
