The younger Powell, however, who still has much of his career in front of him, has lined up solidly behind McCain. If McCain becomes president he could appoint Powell to several administration positions. The older Powell could be bucking for a position in an Obama administration, but I haven't heard anyone in the MSM saying that.

Guess The O-man figures a former military man will help him with his eventual try at a gun grab, too...IF he gets Congress under the belt, that is.
Hard times ahead, kids. Harden up, quick.

But Powell [Colin]said he was impressed by Obamas steadiness, intellectual curiosity and depth of knowledge. I'm curious like a cat. Am I qualified to be president?

[Colin] Powell is now a pariah to both sides -- neither one can trust him. He's all done. I think you're right. He was motivated by two things, IMHO: race and abortion (he's known to be a great fan of the latter). Talk about a mess of pottage.

Not at all. Michael Powell supported McCain from Day One and endorsed him in January. Would imagine he is the one that got his Dad to donate to McCain in the spring.

“Intellectual curiosity” is especially silly as a requirement. What's next? “Obama’s a good whistler”?

“Alzheimers or simple greed are the only two explanations for a military leader endorsing a man with absolutely no military experience to be Commander-In-Chief.”
Real conservatives have known of Colin’s RINO-esque practices and policies for years. What happened is absolutely no surprise. It’s not greed; Powell is, so to speak, showing his true colors. Unfortunately, we’ve always known what they are.

This is a Racist, sexist, egotistical Liberal who is still smarting because President Bush 41 refused to keep him on as Secretary of State and moved Condi Rice into that position. He wanted President Bush to push her aside so he could keep his cushy State Dept Job. He thinks just because Sarah is a woman she cannot make a tough decision, and yet he thinks that just because Obumma has the man's plumbing (I assume he has) he can. He has always been known for his backstabbing, and talking crap about people like a teenage girl in High School would about her competition for a Boyfriend.

This was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard he had endorsed Obama after maxing out on donations to McCain.

The Fairness Doctrine, Net-neutrality, firearms confiscation and mandatory public schooling for all children are all on the way.
When I hear Biden say things like, “We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us”, I strongly suspect he’s referring to the ugliness that will transpire once the “purification” and “transformation” of America really begins.

Powell [Colin]said he was impressed by Obamas steadiness, intellectual curiosity BULLSTALIN.
Barack Obama was not curious enough to pay attention to the political rantings of his preacher of 20 years nor the terrorist who launched Obama's campaign in his living room.

That is probable and there will not be a Revolution, the people overall will submit.

Alzheimers or simple greed are the only two explanations for a military leader endorsing a man with absolutely no military experience to be Commander-In-Chief. It is beyond Obama or Clinton's lack of service that makes them unqualified, Bill Clinton wrote in a letter to officials that he LOATHED the military. Barack Obama has run with antiAmerican activists going back to his college days (he talked of it in his book).
He has said he will work to reduce our military strength (including dismantling our weapons development programs and getting away from government space programs).
A commander in chief may be hesitant to lead this nation in war but ultimately the power is there and anyone who is UNWILLING to carry forth that duty is unfit to serve as President.

I gave it a shot when I voted for Alan Keyes in the Texas primary. Now I will be voting for McCain-Palin and against the Marxist Democrats who have declared that it is patriotic to pay taxes.

My husband already said that if O wins this election he is going to go purchase a gun or two (or three or four). Just in case.
