With just 15 days to go until Election Day, there was a record breaking crowd at Suplizio. According to Mesa County Republicans the rally drew 22,000 people making it the biggest in Grand Junction's history. The speech was only about 15 minutes, but it touched on a variety of issues from energy independence to the economy.

This is truly awesome. Almost half of the people in Grand Junction came to the Sarah Palin rally. Is it any wonder mainstream media is doing all they can to put her down!!!!!
According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 45299. [Grand Junction is the 15th most populous city in the State of Colorado ...

Unfortunately, no. It was heard on a top or bottom of the hour news break for either Rush or Hannity. You could hear the absolute joy in the reporter's voice that he was reporting an Obama report.

Obama was in Tampa Bay, directly across the street from the Buccaneers stadium, a city of four million in the Metro area- while Grand Junction is a hundred miles west from Colorado Springs in the middle of the Rockies, population 45K- HALF THE CITY CAME OUT TO SEE HER.

That’s indicative, along with the SNL ratings being the best in 14 years.
The 45K population number for GJ is misleading. The immediate area has more like 150K. Still, a 22K turnout is superb. If they’d had a bigger venue they would have gotten an even much bigger crowd.

Been there, done that. Also, please don't confuse "Republican" with "conservative". More than a few folks who should be in our own camp have their own "pet issues" they want to use Government power to enforce.
Conservatives nominally want to "conserve" our Constitutional Republic and the promise of freedom this Country was founded on. "Republicans" are just as guilty of wanting more government and more power as Democrats are. It's where we came up with the RINO epithet to begin with.
