I may move to Australia or Taiwan if Obama wins.

Live where you like, but here are some facts on the ground:

Australia is a pretty far-gone socialist place. The only way you can own a gun is if you keep it locked in a locker at the gun range. You can go to the range, take it out and fire some rounds, then you have to lock it back up -- no taking it home with you.

As for Taiwan, if OBammy steals the election, the ChiComs may decide the timing is right to grab Taiwan, something they are going to do, sooner or later.

” remind us that Scandinavians rank near the top in charitable giving to poor nations”

No, Scandinavians do not. Their government does. Americans are far more generous than any other nation on earth—and not by government fiat, either.

To all of the leftists, please go. It will be fun to see the “tolerant” and “inclusive” liberals escape to the whitest part of Europe. Why do you suppose Scandinavia would have you?

Poland looks good too, they may be the last Christian country when it’s all said and done.

Yes. I suggest driving all the way. Very scenic.

I have three small children, all are being or will be home-schooled. Under the coming Marxist super-majority, there’s isn’t even a slight chance that I will retain the right to home-school my children. They will be forced into leftist public schools. In effect, the government — led by a leftist from the Bill Ayers school of “education reform” — will be coming for my children.

Sorry, my ancestors fled that kind of tyranny a century ago. And I won’t hesitate to do the same thing.

That’s a little different that fleeing to Canada because Bush might lower your taxes.

As few as 24 percent of Danes and as few as 16 percent of Swedes believe in a personal deity. . . . In Scandinavia, belief in life after death hovers in the low 30 percent range, as opposed to 81 percent in America. Some 82 percent of Danes and Swedes believe in evolution, while roughly 10 percent believe in hell. Their rate of weekly church attendance is among the lowest on Earth.

This is all very sad--and personally so for me. I have spent a lot of time in Sweden (and Denmark, too). I have a lot of family and friends there. On top of that, I'm a Lutheran pastor who actually believes, teaches, and confesses the historic Christian faith. My grandparents came from Sweden and believed it, too. How that ostensibly Lutheran nation has fallen!

On a trip to Sweden a couple years ago, I talked to one of my father's first cousins, "Uncle Fritz," in his early 90s. He believes in evolution, doesn't believe in God, totally secularized, etc. But he was taught the faith in his childhood, and as I told him of the true gospel of Christ crucified, that old memory moved him to tears. I don't know that it went any further than that, though.

I know a number of fellow Lutheran pastors in Sweden who ARE holding firmly and faithfully to Christian truth, in opposition to the apostate and NOMINALLY Lutheran Church of Sweden. They are fighting the good fight!

Ping to the Swedish Ping List.

Islam is not recognized by the Swiss government as a legit religion, and immigration restrictions are very tough. But 4% of population is Muslim.

Door, ass, bang. Go. If not with God’s blessings, then certainly with mine. Frankly, Louie, there are more entirely too many of you who are Fred Phelps without the Christian trappings. I think even the Scandinavians will be sick of you after a while. You will certainly not be missed here.

If...no, when McCain and Palin win the election and if the moonbats all decide to emigrate to Scandinavia, there should be plenty of place for us conservative scandinavians if we decide to migrate to the US.

We have far too many leftists here already to make life comfortable.

How do you have “unalienable rights endowed by our Creator” if there’s no Creator?

At that point, rights come from a consensus agreement of man, and that can be redefined at any time by changing that consensus. That is liberalism, not conservatism.

False dichotomy.

Grab a copy of Leonard Peikoff's Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand (Amazon, ARB).

Not going to proselytize. :)

The whole damn world’s going wobbly.

Let’s all move to Texas, secede and fight a war for independence. We’re running out of options.

The real Christians left Scandinavia and came the to United States as legal immigrants back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

It is a dichotomy, but not a false one.

You either have man’s rules or God’s rules.

And, sorry, I’m not wasting time reading the philosophical rantings of atheists. I’ve got too much else to read to raise children with the correct worldview.

My grandparents would be a textbook example of this.

There still lots of "real Christians," and real Christian pastors, left in the lands of Scandinavia, it's just that they're badly outnumbered.

Yeah..."Scandinavia"...where a violent, brutal Muslim immigrant population is invading and taking over whole cities, like Malmo, and where "Scandinavian" girls are afraid to walk the streets for fear of being gang raped by Muslim gangs.

Yeah..."Scandinavia"...that's such a glorious example for any society to aspire to.

They were once Vikings, and today are feminized, passive, eunuchs.
