Obama: McCain will 'endanger' US
BBC ^ | 10/22/08

Posted on 10/22/2008 6:26:38 PM PDT by advance_copy

US Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has warned that rival John McCain will "endanger" US security.

He said that the election winner would face security "tests", due in part to President Bush's "bad policies".

Earlier his running-mate Joe Biden said Mr Obama could face a "generated international crisis" within six months of becoming president.

Republican rival John McCain said Mr Biden's comments proved that Mr Obama would be a risky presidential choice.

'Core point'

Mr Obama told reporters that his running-mate "sometimes engages in rhetorical flourishes".

"His core point was the next administration is going to be tested regardless of who it is," he insisted.

This from Barak Obama who opposed the surge in Iraq and voted against funding troops unless a deadline for their surrender was attached to the funding. Barak Obama wants to meet with dictators like Kim Jung Il and Mahmood Amadinayabbadabbadoo.

Obama's own running mate said our enemies would use a crisis that they generate to test him if Obama wins and that he would initially flub the U.S. response. He has friends like Bill Ayers who declared war on the United States and Barak Obama is certainly going to crash the U.S. economy by raising taxes "in the name of fundamental fairness".

So, I think voters should take a close look at who would "endanger" us.

ROFL.

Ridiculous.

Obambi, of course has it exactly backwards, it is Obambi himself that will destroy this country totally in less than 4 years in conjunction with Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, Conyers, Ginsberg, etc., et al.

Hey O, it was your own running mate who basically admitted the other day that the rest of the world will see you as weak and ineffectual and test you within six months of your election!

Nobody picks a fight with a tough guy. The fact that your own running mate thinks they’d pick a fight with you shows that he (and whoever he got the info from) thinks you’re a weakling.

I see. So any international (or national) crisis during an Obama admin will be Bush's fault, but if happens during a McCain admin then it would be the fault of both Bush and McCain. Gotcha, B-HO.

Question: Is it possible Obama is considering a major change in foreign policy? Specifically, will he turn the US away from backing Israel by declaring US neutrality on the Middle East? Such a change would certainly generate a crisis, or even worse.

Just kidding. As we know, the McCain campaign can’t even mention the loathsome, America-damning Jeremiah Wright for fear of being called raaacist.

If people shouldn't vote for McCain because he's a danger, what does that say for Obama, who is ten times the danger?

Alright!  94% of the FReepathon goal has been met.
Very good.  Only $4,700 or less to go.  It almost makes you want to chip in and push the total over the top doesn't it.
Your eyelids are getting heavy...  When I snap my fingers you will

Way to go FReepers!  Are we going to end this FReepathon tonight or what?

he’s going to build an army of college kids (brainwashed by the community service requirement for college tuition help) and convince everyone to go into total war with China. Total war means you can raise taxes to 90% and still get total production.
How did it all happen?
-china holds our debt
-obama wants to bust the debt wide open with spending and anti-growth measures
-obama is a protectionist, wants tariffs on chinese goods
-that gets support from the free Tibet left to the anti-commie right along with people sick (literally) of chinese goods
-China really ticked off, tries to take taiwan
-China is anti-muslim. This war is ok

Obama does have a deep knowledge of US foreign policy, having absorbed his mentor's lectures for 20 years:
We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye.

We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.

Laughable and certifiably insane. One, he is more likely to look to China as his model for up to date communism than to fight it. China is probably funding his campaign. Two, if China takes Taiwan he will promise to sit down with them immediately without preconditions, and will return with a peace in our time piece of paper. Third, Obama supporters are about as likely to join up as to pull their pants up, turn their hats around, and get a job. Hell will freeze first.

a) The arrests and indictments of ACORN top officials must come in the next four-to-six days.

b) Parts of US overseas daily and weekly intelligence reports that indicate detailed analyses of foreign threats going forward six months out, [with two templates, one of President McCain and one of President Obama] wgucg unmistakeably show that the latter case engenders a major spike in terrorist or rogue nation threat potential against American interests in the USA and abroad, must be selectively leaked. Certainly these do exist and/or are being formulated as we speak, based on assets, chatter and other source information, including friendly-nation foreign intelligence, foreign media/think thank assessments (i.e. Japan towards North Korean behavior) as well.

In both of these cases, this takes the cooperation of the current Administration. But it can be done without them--even using open source material--if they are too timid.

They had better get on the ball and get er done, and I don't mean maybe. We are going to hell in a handbasket otherwise, folks. Eagles. Up.

This is what kills me. Palin’s the big drag, right? Huge embarrassment, dimmer than a dead bulb, yadda yadda....

But when has McCain ever had to APOLOGIZE for her? Let’s see... round up to nearest number... carry the nine....

That’d be ZERO times.

But is the press going to make a big deal about it? Duh. No, they’re in damage control mode, fabricating polls about how damaging Sarah Palin is. What about polls about BIDEN? What about demanding that HE have press conferences? What about demanding that HE clarify what he was saying, and insisting that Obama speak to what he actually said?

Want to see my daughter’s wedding in January, so I won’t be holding my breath.

WOODRUFF: Senator Obama, one of the, of course, enormous consequences of 9/11 were the wars in Afghanistan and then Iraq. In the wake of those wars, today, the United States military is facing enormous challenges. Junior officers are leaving the Army in record numbers. The recent graduates of West Point leaving the Army.

What would you do as president to make serving and staying in the military more attractive to young men and women?

OBAMA: Well, first of all, as commander-in-chief, my job is to keep America safe. And that means insuring that we’ve got the best military on Earth. And that means having the best persons in uniform on Earth. We have that right now, but as a consequence of these wars, they have been strained incredibly. I think it’s important for us to increase the size of our Army and our Marines so we can reduce the pace of tours that our young men and women are on...

But it’s also important that a president speaks to military service as an obligation not just of some, but of many. You know, I traveled, obviously, a lot over the last 19 months. And if you go to small towns, throughout the Midwest or the Southwest or the South, every town has tons of young people who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. That’s not always the case in other parts of the country, in more urban centers. And I think it’s important for the president to say, this is an important obligation. If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some...

And by the way, we will deploy you in some difficult areas, but that’s part of what it means to be an American and to serve and to sacrifice...

And so, I think a president who is consistently asking for young people to reach for something higher, something bigger than themselves, I think, will get enormous response.
