Republicans are slashing their television advertising at Colorado's three biggest television stations, a troubling sign for presidential nominee John McCain.
McCain is headed to Colorado Friday, but public records provided by three Denver stations show the GOP this week cut their ad spending for McCain by 46%.

Thank you. Where does the NRCC get their funding from? I’m just trying to decide if it’s okay to give more money to the RNC. I don’t want to give it to them if they give funding to the NRCC, because of what they have done. I’d rather give it directly to the candidates that they are screwing.
You'd think that after seeing a MSM story like this four or five times folks would start to catch on.
The Obamessiah is scaling back across the board on all battleground states except NH. I'd like for anyone to tell me how that's a good sign for him. This could well end up a landslide, but not in the way the media folks are talking about.

Kind of the same thing. The NRCC is the party arm that runs ads for congressional candidates. I believe the RNC runs it for presidential candidates.

As I understand it the RNC is a more generic, national entity supporting all Republican interests, and often specifically focuses on get-out-the-vote efforts. Then you have the NRCC (House), NRSC (Senate), and individual campaigns.
You'll note that the Republicans cut their spending by 100%.

No, the Obama campaign collected almost $200 million in September ALONE! Did McCain get $20 million in Sept? I sincerely doubt it!
Altogether, the Donkeys have raked in well over a billion for this campaign. What have the Pubbies raked in?

Hi impeachedrapist. How can you be sure this is the case—that Obama is not pulling out because he feels strong in these states? It looks like McCain is pulling out of CO and FL too. Does that mean he is down in these places? Without CO and FL McCain can't win, right?
I'm not trying to be a contrarian at all, I just don't see what you see and I am trying to learn. I would LOVE it if McCain swept the board like you're saying!

Negative, Ghostrider. MI was given to the RNC, which is still advertising in MI, per that same resource. (Plus the 527s are active there as well.) But perhaps you missed the poster's point.
You're not correct. This last month of the election the McCain campaign and the RNC had allotted $160 million for advertising and other efforts. They collected much more before then, especially after the Palin selection.
I'm not saying McCain will sweep all those states. What I'm saying is why would a well-financed Obamessiah supposedly leading everywhere, who supposedly has McCain/Palin on the ropes, be scaling back across the board in supposedly vulnerable red states while increasing spending in blue states?? The only legitimate explanation is that he's getting his butt kicked. When you compare that data to how the campaigns are behaving, you have further evidence. McCain/Palin are going to red states, yes. But they're also going to NH, PA, ME, PA, IA (purple state), NM (purple state), did I mention PA? :-)
McCain is NOT pulling out of CO. His VP mate did three events there this week. He's doing two there tomorrow. A hundred or more volunteers/staff are descending on CO from other states (I think more to deliver the Senate seat, which is an even bigger battle than the POTUS race).
McCain is NOT pulling out of Florida. Where did that even come from? McCain's doing a rally in FL today.
If McCain takes PA, and holds every other Bush state, McCain can give up ALL of the following:
IA,CO,NM,NV AND VA!
If he doesnt’ take PA, and holds every other Bush state
He can give up any 2 of the following:
CO,IA,NM,NV
Or any 2 of the following:
VA,NM,NV
There is very little path for Fauxbama to the White House, assuming the race is as close as the polls are claiming. Frankly I don’t think they are nearly as close as being portrayed.
I also believe without question PA is going McCain.

Don’t leave out VA ... same damned thing happening here. It’ not due to Virginians that there’s a contest in the Old Dominion, but immigrants from the Northeast who’ve crowded into Northern VA and changed the demographic completely. They came because they liked our low taxes. Argh.
You mean this resource, Bucky? The one included in his link? According to that McCain spent zero in Michigan in the week of 10/6 (the figure in parenthesis) and the same amount in the week of 10/13. RNC funding dropped from $104K in the week of 10/6 to zero in the week of 10/13. That looks like a 100% drop by any definition of the term.
But perhaps you missed the poster's point.
I just assumed they were being sarcastic. Outspending your opponent $415,000 to zero isn't pulling out.
