I know that it sounds cut-throat, but McCain could use this, saying something like, "Senator Obama has called on his supporters to 'get in our faces' and now we find out that a young woman, a loyal-campaign worker who is a volunteer, was violently attacked and the letter 'B' was literally carved in her face. Senator Obama, is this the kind of 'in their faces' that you were talking about? I deplore this violence and eagerly anticipate Obama's statement deploring this violence in his name"

I believe that is the only way people will hear about the incident, and that will be from the disbelieving press.

Did she have a campaign button on? Was she campaigning at the time she was “mutilated”? She had a McCain bumper sticker on her car while she was at an ATM, but that has nothing to do with her volunteering.

I say the title is inflammatory, and you guys can flame me all you want.

I’m just suggesting...IMHO...that we not get knee jerk here, that we keep our heads about us, and get the facts straight.

I am curious though, how big a “B” we’re talking about and exactly what the perp said as this was happening. The part about her getting robbed, then the perp leaving, and then coming back when he sees the sticker seems a little off as well.
