This reminds me of what the lamestream media was saying about the demise of Rush’s radio show when Clinton won in ‘92. If anything it gave Rush more material to use, like manna from heaven. It’s the same here in Massachusetts with Howie Carr and the democratic governor Coup deval.

One of the most interesting results of this election is that if Obama is elected, we will truly be able to change the handle of "the Main Stream Media" to "the Government Media" - ala "the Government Schools" nickname for public schools.

Basically, 90% of the campaign coverage by television and newspaper media this fall was an undeclared, illegal campaign donation to the Obama campaign.

Americans aren't responding to the old plays -- the fake fears, the faux outrage, the conservatives who yell "Communist" at the news cameras, the pompous right-wing bloggers who once held such sway. I know all too well how scary and effective these old tactics were in 2004. Today, they are toothless. Ha, ha. Nothing makes me happier than seeing once swaggering players like Powerline, Free Republic and Little Green Footballs forced onto the sidelines, left to limply watch this campaign pass by like a parade in which they play no meaningful part. They just don't matter anymore.

Mapes never disputes the fact that Obama is anything but what we call him. She is basically saying that independents don't respond to the truth that bloggers discuss.
