Why would a soldier want to claim MA as his home state anyway? MA is the bluest of blue states and has no chance of even picking up one Republican US House seat. FL on the other hand, besides being a Republican leaning swing state has no personal income tax.
MA has a question (#1) on this years bally to repeal the state income tax. I strongly feel there will be a message sent to the state (it will pass) by the voters and then (of course) the state will know better and throw it out anyways. I hate this state.
Either way, it is just plain not right to not count the votes of our service men and women regardless.
oh massachusetts, how i long to take my residence and hopefully a congressional seat elsewhere in 2010.
I hope it will pass but of course the anti-#1 folks are
spending so much money against it and a recent poll
said most people are leaning “no”. (Only 400 voters,
though, and who knows how accurate?)
One comment from today’s Globe:
“Jain said the millions in opposition funding “from the people who make their living off of tax dollars” illustrate why the tax must be abolished.”

Many of us are getting full color, huge mailings
talking about the evils of this ballot question.
