I've been Slug Slimed. What do I do?

24 hours ago I picked up a cooler that was on my porch. A garden slug was on it. He attached himself to my middle finger on my left hand. I shook him off and washed my hands. Apparently I failed to wash adequately enough.
Now I have a ugly festeing blister on my finger. I google searched for answers. Didn't find any help. But I know my FReeper FRiends will come through with all sorts of solutions and answers. Some may even be helpful. (But I doubt it)

Wasn’t a slug. Sounds more like a leech.

You should
always seek immediate medical attention.
Even if nothing's actually happened to you.

I’ve never heard of anybody being injured by a slug. I’ve picked them up before and not been damaged. I’m guessing you DO know what a slug is. I’d probably have to see a doctor if over the counter wound treatments aren’t working.

Try a psychiatrist.
I know we have little spiders in MD that can be dangerous but I’ve never heard of a dangerous slug.
Allergic? Infirm?
I’m finding this hard to believe.
