State Senator Dianne Wilkerson was arrested this morning after an 18-month undercover investigation by Boston police and the FBI in which she allegedly accepted eight bribes worth $23,500.
The 15-year Democratic lawmaker allegedly accepted cash payoffs that ranged from $500 to $10,000 to help a nightclub secure a liquor license and to assist a private developer who wanted to build on state land. Wilkerson allegedly tried to influence legislation in the state Senate as recently as last week to help the developer in the Crosstown section of Roxbury, near the intersection of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Massachusetts Avenue.
The probe included one confidential informant and at least two undercover FBI agents. Investigators made audio and video recordings and took still photographs of Wilkerson allegedly accepting cash payoffs starting in June 2007 and continuing through this month.
One series of photographs displayed by federal authorities at a press conference this morning show Wilkerson allegedly stuffing a $1,000 payoff into her bra during a meeting with an informant at No. 9 Park restaurant that was surreptitiously recorded with audio and video. The 10, $100 bills were not in an envelope and clearly visible in the photograph dated June 18, 2007.

Simple bribery doesn’t compare well with murder to some degree, nor even homicide... and it does not compare well with aid and comfort to the enemy, aka treason, does... but she still has a shot, and should next try for US Senate from MA.
Too bad for her she’s not a gay US Senator from that state. They have immunity.

Wilkerson has been dirty for decades. She never paid taxes and kept getting reelected.

My wife is form there and after the way the Judges forced homosexual marriage on to the people was the final straw.
We got out and now our vote counts here, unlike MA which was a waste of time plus MA cannot use my tax money anymore to push their liberal agendas in the schools,m etc.
I would love to see every republican get out of that state, if you need to be near family then move to NH and make it a more of a red state other wise escape to VA,NC,FL,CO,AZ,NM.

The politicians here in Massghanistan are thugs because we have only one viable party. I just returned my absentee ballot and had to write-in my own name for U.S. Representative and for two other lesser posts for which there was no alternative then a write-in. But I suppose that is better than last time when there were seven uncontested races.
Anyone who wants to see what an Obama administration would look like only need look to the Patrick administration with its bloated budget—up about $3.20 billion—which turned a $0.30 billion surplus inherited from Governor Romney into at least a $1.20 billion single year budget deficit. Congrats on escaping MA. I envy you. I would only add Texas to your fine list of states, that is where I want to move to. As soon as the housing market recovers to a point where I can break even I am out of here.

here we have no state tax, 2nd amendment is observed, the castle law is great and I think only TX is the same with that law.
We have the homosexual amendment on the ballot but that will be very close here in Florida, all in all we know our votes will count.

Paul Revere rode out to "spread the alarm to every Middlesex village and farm." The government of Middlesex County is older than the United States, has one of the most wealthy populations of any county in the United States and went bankrupt about five years ago. Go figger.
I live up here, and just watched the evening news for a few minutes while they discussed this. They interviewed several people who said on camera that this was a politically motivated operation because it occurred a week before the election.
You can guess who those people are going to vote for.
