Just as his latest CD "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" hits store shelves today, Toby Keith tells People magazine he'll be voting Republican come November 4th, solely because of Vice-Presidential contender Sarah Palin. "I think she is the best thing in politics at that level I've ever seen. I hate politicians, and she's as far from one as you can get. She's a mother, she's a human being. And I can sympathize with her. She went from being an unknown governor to being on the cover of every magazine." Believe it or not, Keith is a longtime Democrat, who says he's now registered to vote as an independent.
"That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy" is the second album in a row Keith has produced himself. The first single, "She Never Cried In Front Of Me", currently sits atop the Billboard country chart. Toby's next release will be "God Love Her" and he's already made a video, his first one in a year and a half.
"She Never Cried In Front Of Me" is Keith's 24th Number One.
Keith has sold more than 25 million records in this decade alone.

I’ve always like Keith. Even when he was a Democrat ... he was the kind that was a credit to Democrats. He was patriotic, sensible and down-to-earth. The world could use more Democrats like Toby Keith.

This just made my day. Toby Keith has always presented himself as Dem.....so great news to Republicans that we have him on board!!!
LOL! That’s not a bad video, but it’s not recent, either. I heard the song on the radio coming home from Wal-mart earlier this afternoon.
You just described a ton of the Democrats here in Oklahoma. They vote Democrat almost straight ticket, but always vote Republican for president.

A week or so ago, you had Dan Rather of all people coming out to defend Sarah. Then there was the NOW lady. now Toby Keith.
Read a review of the new album...so I was doing a stroll down memory lane.
My taste runs to classic country—but Toby is the best ‘new’ performer out there. Heck of a song-writer.

I knew Keith was voting “O” and the fact that he switched is exactly what I have been praying for. I will keep praying, as I know TKeith is not the only one who came to his senses.He is one more good man who was misguided. Welcome home Toby!
He was raised Dem, has been all his life. But a Conservative Dem. He is very stong supporter of Military.

Recently, Toby said that he switched to being an Independent because the Democratic Party left him and is now run by kooks.
