After several weeks of John McCain’s campaign attacks on Barack Obama’s tax plan and idea of “spreading the wealth around”, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds voters trust McCain more than Obama on taxes, 47% to 45%.

Two weeks ago, Obama had a one point-advantage on the issue of taxes and a month ago, he had a three-point edge. The last time McCain had the advantage on this issue was September 14, just before the collapse of Lehman Brothers started the meltdown on Wall Street (see trends).

Men favor McCain by a 51% to 43% margin when it comes to taxes, while women still trust Obama more, 48% to 43% (see crosstabs).

Voters now trust Obama overall on six out of ten electoral issues tracked by Rasmussen Reports. Two weeks ago, the Democrat holding the edge on seven issues. A month ago, Obama had the advantage on every issue.

Apparently Obie's group knew this was coming and ran the bash of Palin on the economy.

This is significant. The media has been suppressing and hiding Obama’s true horrible philosophy of life....his true nature is starting to show through his phony mask.

This is completely anecdotal, but for the past two weeks, I have been hearing more and more people uttering the phrase "spreading the wealth"(and not in a good way). I think the middle of the road people are getting it. They would love Obamas mythical tax cut, but not at the expense of jobs, and not when others paying no taxes will get one too!

Middle class people are getting sick and tired of the entitlement society, and for the first time in months, I am feeling optimistic about McCains chances!

We got “polled” last night, I let my wife handle the call.

Two questions stood out as unique, were we “gun owners” and how often did we attend a religious service.

We've got a week to convince as many voters as we can that McCain is better on ALL the issues!

It is simply BAFFLING to me that people can think that a socialist would do better with a struggling economy.

Truly, and not in jest, do I believe that both Sarah and Joe were sent and/or set up to be where they were by God Himself.

Judges 6:12
The angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon. He said, "Mighty warrior, the Lord is with you."
