Bush's $2.2 billion gift to Planned Parenthood (MUST READ)
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | October 29, 2008 | John Lofton

Posted on 10/30/2008 1:39:25 AM PDT by cpforlife.org

So, President Bush throws $2.2 billion down the Planned Parenthood rathole and I'm supposed to thank him for not wasting the federal tax dollars of pro-life taxpayers? Well, yes, that's what the folks at Focus On The Family want me and others to do.

The October 2008 issue of Citizen magazine has in it (page 6) a full-page article with the headline: "Thanks, Mr. President." A smaller headline reads: "Pro-life taxpayers can thank President Bush for keeping their dollars from being misspent." This article is an interview with Ashley Horne, a "federal policy analyst" for Focus On The Family Action.

A couple of points: Even the very good folks at Focus refuse to report the whole truth here. Ashley Horne, a “federal policy analyst” for Focus On The Family Action knows fully well that Bush has increased Title X funding to PP every year he’s been in office. I have personally confirmed this through multiple sources. We must ask ourselves why did Focus refuse to do a full accounting of Bush’s 8 years on this? He’s done much good but to cover up his funding of PP is disgusting. Shame on Focus.

People have told me that Title X funding to PP is part of the Fed budget package and the POTUS does not have line-item veto. A committed pro-life President would AT LEAST go to the airwaves and appeal this funding outrage directly to the public. In eight years Bush did not. A majority of Americans do not like PP and if they understood Title X funding to PP they would have stood w Bush against Congress to stop it.

And that is what we will have to do with President McCain. We will have to let him know that we demand this ends just like we raised our voices on shamnesty.

of course abortion is supported by Medicaid, etc.....this is not news....

about Bush being this "compassionate Christian"......well, he is probably a decent man, lives a decent life, defended our country by going into the middle east, but he is no leader, no commander, not one to inspire, not one to prod people into doing the greater good.....he's been spineless about spending and spineless when protecting our borders from immigrants who just want to wander in to use our services.....

Indeed.

But it's not like we didn't see huge support for W-Liberalism right here. BushBotism was (it seems to be past tense, thank goodness!) based on such willful disregard of reality.

What we do know is that compassionate conservative=RINO=budget bloaters. Bush has done more to destroy the Republican Party than the democrats could have ever hoped to do. Michael Medved thinks that BUsh will go down as one of the greatest presidents. I scoff at that. BUsh will go down as the one republican that sabotaged the conservative movement and gave the Democrat Party another chance at fulfilling their socialist dream.

If Reagan was still alive, he’d sic his monkey on Bush.

Why is it that Bush wouldn’t compromise on the War on Terror but rolled over on almost everything else (sans judicial picks with one exception of Harriet Mier debacle which again highlighted Bush’s bizarreness).

I don’t know what Ron said of the Reagan Admin but I am going to guess he was critical of it. Reagan did have to compromise with the Dems in congress to get what he wanted and that caused the budget and deficit to swell. That is politics. Bush had Republicans in the house and senate and they all had a big budget bash in building an even bigger government. Maybe it isn’t meant to be that we’ll ever have a fiscially responsible and accountable government. The beast has been let out and we will never be able to get it back in let alone tame it.

“If Reagan was still alive, he’d sic his monkey on Bush.”

I think Reagan was among the finest Presidents in history. And I also think one of his biggest mistakes was picking G.H.W. Bush as his running mate. Some have said he HAD to, and may not have won w/o Bush. We'll never know but if he hadn't picked the first Bush we most certainly would never have had the second as an option to consider.

Yes the Bush's were "better" than Kerry Gore Dukakis but they were Rockefeller RINO's foisted on us. God willing Sarah will stay true to her Conservative foundation and be POTUS one day w a new Conservative revolution.

Another home run article by Lofton. We need many more like him too. Her’s Conservative as they come and nobody owns him nor is he anyones fool either. I use to watch his show on National Empowerment Television {N.E.T.} called “It’s only Politics”. It was one of my favorites. The Next revolution with Bill Lind and Brad Keena was my other favorite :>}

That’s all true. Bush, in his second term, has been an abominable failure, aside from his two USSC nominations of Roberts and Alito.

Don't matter. Bush never quite learned how to spell it anyway {practice makes perfect} and Cheney wouldn't give him a crayon to write it with.

Listen, Bush went to bat for pro-life policies dozens of times, and I would assume only signed bills with some money for PP to avoid being overridden by Congress and completely taken out of the loop. If Obama wins next week, you’re likely to see a WHOLE lot more abortion and pills for kids funded by the Congress than we have seen under Bush...
