I think there is a movement within the McCain camp to pad the resume in case of a failure. The W rejects that have been handling Sarah have blown a golden opportunity. They kept her away from friendly MSM and sent her to Couric as her first big interview. Dumb in any book.

I doubt McCain himself is, probably typical whiners are - that, or the media is completely making this up.

Precisely. Why would we all of a sudden believe something the MSM is telling us about McCain? I don't doubt that maybe one person in the campaign thinks she's a diva, but I'm not buying the rest.

Last night I saw McCain in an interview. He addressed this in part.

His comment was basically that there are and always will be times when there is strife between staff members in any campaign. He stated that he and Palin have instructed their people that if they have a problem with each other, they are to bring it directly to them. He went further to say that his and Sarah's relationship couldn't be on better terms, and they are quite happy with it.

I will believe first person source over Yahoo.

Politico promoted itself as non-partisan - yeah sure.......

Politico was formed by two Washington Post reporters. Of course they're non-partisan. They kept up that charade just long enough to give them credibility for the 2008 election. Now, they're just doing the same demoralizing psyops reporting that all the other MSMS is doing to depress Republican turnout.

What you may “think” vs what can be proven is worlds apart. Rhe left has been on this for a while now in an effort to discredit Sarah.

If anyone is trying to damge Sarah it’s Myth Rommeny and his group. He couldn’t carry her luggage.

Heard one of them on Laura Ingram yesterday.
She appeared to be expecting a non-partisan view
and was quickly disabused of that notion by the smarmy Politico hack.

Roger Simon is largely right. Palin is whip smart, and will be a lethal candidate in two years, but she’s not Presidential timbre right now. This is actually a good column. McCain’s people, mostly Romneybots, have been dumping on Palin for no good reason. She’s the only reason why he’s even close.

Now I grant you, I wanted him to pick Rice, but he didn’t. Palin will be a superb candidate in a couple of years. Meantime, McCain needs to deal with what he’s got.

Best,

Chris

This thought may have already been posted....this smacks of Obama Campaign propaganda big time. Everyone try to verify the remarks made by McCain people - call his headquarters...does he want to lose? I think not...too clever by far to be true!

If it weren’t for Palin, McCain would be down by 20% as many Conservatives couldn’t hold their nose for McCain (unless he chose Cantor or Jindall- neither could do for the campaign what Palin did).

The 20% might be debatable. The rest of your statement is cold hard fact. Sarah will be spending Halloween in Pennsylvania. We are going to try to get tickets to see her.

I wouldn't walk across the street to meet Juan McCain.

If McCain loses, I'm going to blame:

I am going to put the blame on two turning points:

1) The Katie Couric interview which sucked all of Palin's positive momentum away at a crucial moment (thanks, Nicolle Wallace).

2) John McCain's failure to blame the financial crisis on Obama and his friends (Dodd, Barney, Raines, Johnson) at the first debate.

While I think Sarah has definitely regained her stride, that interview served to allow the MSM to label her unfairly at a crucial time in the campaign and forced her to play catch-up.

Also, McCain finally got on track during the third debate, but he could have set the tone much sooner had he done the right thing at that first debate. Hopefully, his refocused attacks were not too late.

If we win (and I still think we can):

THANK GOD FOR JOE THE PLUMBER!

Oh, and these MSM stories, one after the other, about tension within the McCain camp are just trumped up in an attempt to demoralize us. Divided we fall.

And if you are a 72-year-old presidential candidate, wouldn’t you expect that your running mate’s fitness for high office would come under a little extra scrutiny? And, therefore, wouldn’t you make your selection with care? (To say nothing about caring about the future of the nation?)

McCain probably looked at his opponent, the Chicago street thug, and figured, what the hey, Governor Palin is certainly more qualified than that empty suit. What McCain probably didn't count on was the degree to which the Democrat newsrooms would abandon any pretense of professional journalism (ie., "scrutiny" of 0bama) in their efforts to get their candidate elected.

LOL! Roger Simon is an Obama campaign flying monkey.

He was the smarmy little b*tch who wrote the immortal piece Why the media should apologize less than a week after Palin was named the VP choice.

Wonder how much he gets per diem from Obama's paymaster? And how much he's going to get as an annual salary to attack the Joe the Plumbers from the Obama Ministry of Media after the election? ;-)

More lies from the media to try to suppress your vote.
The key to the Democrat/media/left strategy is Republican vote suppression. If they can demoralize Republicans into staying home, they will win.

Stage 1 of that strategy is what we are witnessing now.

Stage 2 will take place on Election Day:

First, they will release early exit polls. These exit polls will be taken during the daytime, which means they will oversample women.

Both of these will cause a massive oversampling of Democrats. This will show Obama with a commanding lead (just like it did for Kerry in 2004).

There really is only one thing that can stop McCain from winning now:

You and me.

If we’re demoralized, if we stay home, or if our pessimism rubs off on others who then stay home, we’ve given the media exactly what they want.

In fact, at this point, that’s the only way they can win this thing. All the standard leftward skewing of the past is on display now, and what it shows is that McCain is probably actually slightly ahead.

If we turn out—if we make sure our friends, family, and colleagues turn out—we win.
