Politics is a tightwalk of dealmaking and the balancing donor’s interests with those of the people. It is very rare for a politician to stay on the right path - and especially rare for one to survive for a long time without leaning with the pressure.

I would disagree with your assesment of your senators, they are somewhat conservative, especially Cornyn on Illegals, however, right now, they are what we have and we need to keep them and vote for them.
