We have now opened a market on the LA Times making public a video that reportedly shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who was a PLO spokesman while that organisation was a designated terrorist organisation. This market can be found under Poltiics -- 2008 US Election -- LA Times to make public Obama video tape.
Contract Rules:
This contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the LA Times makes public the video showing Barack Obama praising former PLO spokesman before 11:59:59pm ET on Nov 4th 2008.
The contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the LA Times DOES NOT make public the video showing Barack Obama praising former PLO spokesman before 11:59:59pm ET on Nov 4th 2008.
Expiry will be based on announcements from the LA Times regarding the public release of the video.
The video in question reportedly shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who was a PLO spokesman while that organisation was a designated terrorist organisation.
Due to the nature of this contract please also see Contract Rule 1.7 Unforeseen Circumstances.
The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.
Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4

To paraphrase McCain, the LA Times would rather lose their credibility than lose an election. I wouldn’t bet 10 cents they will release the tape.
