Also, the original photo was a little dark and grainy - note that the photo displayed here was run through some software so as to brighten it up just a little.
Bump.
There was a Fox News reporter doing her hair during Obama’s speech.
She sure looked bored. Maybe the rally didn’t start yet. I saw some people texting in the front row during Obama speech on TV. Who knows maybe she has heard it a hundred times and knows it. We can’t say what the problem is with a picture as much as FREEPERS love to do that.
bttt
So, a reporter was doing her nails while a speech was going on, and most eyes were upon the speaker, not upon her? BFD! Where does it say everyone must stand at attention during anyone’s speech?
TV reporting is Hollywood for ugly people.
(did someone hit here in the face with a cast iron frypan?)
You can almost see the arrogance all over her face.
I’m not so sure I have a problem with this.
...guess if there was a fiery train wreck she’d trim her...
(I’ll just let you finish it)
maybe she had a hangnail :)
I am married to a reporter. They do this stuff every day. Day in, day out. Generally speaking, the job of a TV reporter on an assignment like this is “hurry up and wait.” They are not going to listen to the speech over and over. They are going to look at their phone, check their hair, text their friends, and file their nails.
Think about what you might do during a boring meeting or conference call at work. Why would you expect the reporters to be any different.
Do read “anti” Palin, read “bored” reporter.
A reporter for Gay News 9 filing her nails while a patriot speaks! I’m shocked, I tell ya, shocked!
Fair & Balanced news. We’ll tell you what to think...we have a journalism degree.
To be fair, the photo was taken before any of the speeches began. The photo was dark and grainy because it was early twighlight hours.
Having said that; her attitude did not improve during the rally. I was standing near the press platform, I tried to read the body language of the reporters as the various speakers presented. None of them looked very enthused about any of the events (sadly, especially the invocation and prayer).
I took the photo because I thought her attitude and disinterest was tacky. It's interesting, perhaps telling, but no surprise and no great scandal in my opinion.
