Group protests move, says it restricts free speech
A judge's apparently unprecedented decision Saturday to order a halt to political ads before hearing from the ad's sponsors drew immediate criticism as an unfair restraint of free speech.
Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Lister defended his emergency order, which was requested via telephone Friday by state Democratic Party attorneys representing an Assembly candidate in a hotly contested race in western Wisconsin.
Lister will hold a hearing with all parties on the case this morning.
Lister said he was justified in issuing a temporary stoppage until a full court hearing could be held because state election laws might have been violated.
But the Coalition for America's Families, an independent group airing radio ads critical of Democrat Mark Radcliffe, said Lister's actions reeked of partisanship. The group was not notified of the court challenge until it learned of the ruling Saturday, said R.J. Johnson, spokesman for the coalition.

What enforcement capabilities does he have? What could the judge do if they just ran the ads anyway?

Many have not recognized it, but some of us have. More will recognize it shortly.
My brother is the republican candidate in this race. I have never seen such hypocrisy. The dems sent a mailing out yesterday that accused my brother of aiding and abetting rapists because he once wrote a pamphlet advising defendants on how to pick out a good attorney. Now the local circuit court judge (who should have recused himself because of ties to the dem candidate) stops some ads that hit on actual issues. We heard about this yesterday while doing doors but didn’t believe it.
I’ll post again if I hear some news this morning.

2. Obama was the second largest recipient of campaign contributions (and all of the top 3 were Democrats) for the mortgage finance companies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that caused the financial mess. 3. Democrats NEVER really cut taxes, even when they "spread the wealth around." Clinton promised to cut middle class taxes in 1992, but that never happened and the media never questioned or challenged it. Does anyone really believe that Democrats will ever really reduce taxes? You can't really be that naive. Even if Obama were telling the truth and had every intention of cutting taxes, the President can not write legislation and from a Democrat Congress that has ALREADY PROMISED TO RAISE TAXES what kind of bills do you think a President Obama would be given to sign? Stop believing the lies. That's all they are is lies, and why is it that everyone keeps forgetting that the political party that always "promises" to help is always the one looking to take everything they can. 4. Google shows some very scary connections to Obama and what the "Main Stream" media is trying to hide. What friends do you have? Do you make friends and associations with people who hate what you believe in, and who regularly attack and try to undermine your family and everything you find important? Of course not, the friends you have are the people that you at least have some kind of common ground with. Even if you don't agree with them on everything. Your friends, good or bad, are a reflection of who you are. And Obama is no different. How about taking a few minutes and doing a Google search for "Obama's Communist Friends"? You might be shocked to find that it is well documented who Obama really is thorugh his friends. 5. Obama wants to make the 12 - 20 million illegals in America citizens ASAP and then add health care. He wants OUR TAXES AND JOBS TO PAY FOR IT ALL! 6. US Weekly, a reasonable weekly magazine just released an article where they review "Barak Obama" and it is clear that they are scared. Their eyes were finally opened when the followed him on the campaign trail in South Carolina. They saw his race-baiting, white hating rants and insanity for the first time. They saw all of "Jeremiah Wright" and the "I Hate Amerca" side of Barak Hussein Obama come through that he has so completely lied to the public about and they have documented it. Now, they have also loaded their magazine with a LOT more information that shows you just how completely perverse and sick the "main stream" media outlets of ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN have become in trying to hide the real man who presents the biggest risk to America and the world since the Civil War. Hey, this is my county judge! He was a lawyer in the county seat, Black River Falls, until his appointment to fill a seat vacated due to the death of the sitting judge.
He’s got a reputation of being a Democrat. Jackson County is a large county with a relatively small population in western Wisconsin. It usually votes Dem. I suspect Judge Lister is going to be a bit surprised at the ruckus he’s raised, but we’ll see.
These guys haven’t won yet but they can’t keep their fascist tendencies from leaking out...just wait until all these new committed leftists are sworn in!
We have one small hope to partially block the coming flood of fascism: Keep the Senate Dimocrats as far as possible from the 60 member filibuster-proof majority.
Sad to say, our Judicial system really SUCKS. It is full of Liberals and Democrat Political Hacks.

Its going to be very close. Its about a 50/50 district and both parties have been spending a ton. I’m very nervous but my brother has been working very hard, I’m hopeful it will pay off.
Prayers up. We need to hold the Assembly. I am of the opinion that many of the new, but rabid Obama supporters might simply check the box for President and ignore the downticket races.
How about a quick radio ad naming the judge, his connections to the Rat, and the fact that he just violated your First Amendment rights by shutting down your ads.
Just got the news. After a hearing this morning the judge upheld his ruling. Appeals court will hear the case tomorrow.
