Pathetic story on how the Teacher of the Year who declined to join the NDEA and the NEA because of their liberal views and rudely gets tossed from and event that should have been in her honor.

Fortunately North Dakota is an open shop state and the union will pay some price for this attitude.

is the North Dakota Education Association a union organization?

If so they can do what they like. There should be a non-political education organization that can make that right.

If the North Dakota Education Association is NOT a union organization, there should be a way to go after them legally.

I had the good fortune of being educated in Fargo area schools from 4th grade through my first two years in college. I can't say about now, but there were a lot of good, wholesome teachers with American values in the school system back then and just a few idiots who toed the NEA line.

My mother was one of them who refused to join the NEA.

Unfortunately, it seems the Democratic party is entrenched in Minnesota and many just vote following it as they have for years. I realize now this is in the Dakotas with this teacher.

I’ve known caring teachers in the school system but when it comes to voting you’d think it was 1964 in Minnesota and that they will just vote Democratic Farm Labor.

Hopefully, times are changing and that is an indication of how Ventura as an Independent got elected.

I’m glad I have Cambodian friends supportive of the Republicans here. I hope, a large influx of Somali refugees just doesn’t have them all voting for 0-bummer.
