I bet this is an old map. Remember that Republicans used to be blue and Dems used to be red?

Why did that change and who changed it? I always wondered about the red vs. blue assignment.

I accidentally made a Red State blue. My prediction is McCain-Palin 290 Obama-Biden 248.

I never figured out why colors were changed, but from on election to another, all of a sudden colors had switched. I was upset at first. I lived in Germany for years and there the Conservatives are the ‘Black’ (die Schwarzen) and the Socialist Party is the ‘Red’. (Die Roten)
I didn’t want to be ‘red’.
But, meanwhile, I’m thinking, red stands for the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

Interesting. I played around a bit, and it appears that it once again is all about FL and OH. If McCain loses Ohio, every other chip has to fall his way, including Pennsylvania. If Florida is lost, I don't see him hanging on unless Iowa and New Hampshire are in play.
With that said, I think if FL and OH bolt McCain (which I think/hope they will), PA goes McCain and states like NV, MO, NH, and IA won't matter. In that scenario, we could even swap IN for MO.
This is an excellent exercise; watching them doing it on TV prohibits you from running the scenarios yourself. They simply plow through favorable Obama projections and make it look like McCain is hopeless. He is anything but.

Playing around I found that if John & The Babe take New Hampshire and Pennsylvania while Obama and Acorn steal Ohio, the can still make a go of it by taking the old South and traditional Republican West even while losing Colorado and New Mexico on the way to a 270 to 268 win!
Gadzooks, I sure do... feel better tonight!
