that’s a decent point Xzins but rathergate was not about conjecture
all these theories on the polls and demographics that defy past patterns are pretty wishful
the only hope I see is high turnout for our side
i have noticed around here that polls are lies when they don’t go our way yet the same poster will cite a positive poll like Magna Carta
and anyone like me who is skeptical is a heretic
In the past, Wardaddy, I’ve been a really strong supporter of Rasmussen’s poll and a few of the others.
I really began to wonder this time, though, when I started rethinking the party ID numbers for this year. What got me was that they have a dem party ID or +8 for my state of Ohio.
I’ve lived here my entire life except for my army career, and even then, it was still my official residence except when I had to buy a house someplace we were stationed.
Ohio has ALWAYS been a conservative state. It’s always primarily republican, and at the very least it’s a 50/50 state. We currently have a repub legislature and court, and the only reason we don’t have a repub governor is because Taft, a repub, was convicted while in office of some kind of fraud.
There’s no way that Ohio is +8 dem. Zip. Nada.
Never underestimate the power of prayer and the basic goodness of the silent majority.
(btw - had I been in my right mind mixing unknown pharmaceuticals while beating off a flu I’d never have posted you at all. The offending message is itself the proof of that.)
