I'm just praying that this is significant and that they will have to retract some of their early calls and turn them red.

Another thread says it was Michael Barone. I think that’s right - I’m in the other room from the TV, so I can’t see it, I just hear it.

I turned off the TV when Fox just mistakenly called Ohio for Obama.

Look how close is the Popular Vote. How can Fox News show the PV as so close, but have the Liberal Messiah winning by so much in the EV?

Exit polls are bull$hit and should be illegal.

Networks “calling” elections prior to ALL the votes being counted is bull$hit and should be illegal.

Both are simply unsubtle attempts to discourage voting in later-closing states. Period.

Bradley Effect. Tell the exit pollsters one thing, but vote the opposite in the privacy of the polling booth.

Foxnews exit polls are just as good as the rest...worthless. I can’t handle Brit and Chris Wallace beaming over defeats of GOP senators and Congrescritters. True colors are out there tonight just like after the 3rd debate.

There is no way in hell I would ever talk to an exit poller. These people are snakes. They are like the guy who sits outside the grocery store trying to get people to sign petitions. Whenever I see one of them, I just tell them I'm Canadian, eh.

If they did an exit poll, they'd probably conclude that half the shoppers at the store are Canadians.

I decided not to watch ANY of the networks, including full-of-itself Fox. It’s more productive to troll the state election Websites, especially for Fla., Ohio and PA. Better results and to the minute, for the most part. For example, Ohio shows McCain-Obama identical at 49.6, as of 9 pm. We shall see what we shall see.

Drink some wine, put your slippers on, and brace for a long and interesting night. With good fortune, we may yet prevail.

I warned you they could do this with PA folks, call it early based purely on bad exit polls only to back off... hold on.

Fox News has called Ohio for Obama. If this is correct, we will be living in a Communist country as of January 20.

Not many sane people will stand around and do a 10 minute survey, especially, when you have been told your guy isn’t going to win and you are their just to do your vote and leave.

Not surprising. There was an article posted earlier from Rasmussen Research warning people that way more Democrats tend to respond to exit pollers than Republicans....and then the rest is just stats equations, showing that exit polls are weighted so heavily Democrat that...well...can you say kids? I knew you could.

I confess I read some exit poll results (from Fox News, no less) earlier, and the trends they were showing were so far off from empirical evidence presented that all I could think of was the jubilant "KERRY BY A LANDSLIDE!!" in 2004....and then it turned out that it was REALLY Bush by a landslide unless we can find a way to hang Ohio on it's non-existent chads, but Kerry WILL win this election eventually...

One more -- PA, VA, NC, exit polls skewed toward Obama, actual results lower. To reiterate, President McCain, Vice President Palin...
a large amount of "WPE" (Within Precinct Error) in the exit polling, meaning that the actual results reported by the precincts are much lower for Obama than the results that the exit pollsters gathered. In Pennsylvania, I think he said that this number was 10.4%, meaning that Obama was exit polling 10.4% better than the actual results being reported. In Florida, they reported that it was a difference of 3.4 or 3.9%. Also significant in NC, VA, and other places.
