Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., did the expected and easily captured Texas's 34 electoral votes in Tuesday's presidential election, news reports said. McCain held a double-digit lead in polls going into the contest, and was expected to cruise to an easy victory in the nation's second-biggest electoral prize over his rival, Sen. Barack Obama. McCain was declared the winner shortly after polls closed in the state. The win now puts 83 electoral votes in McCain's column to Obama's 174. A total of 270 electoral votes are needed to win.

Stop trying to ruin my good mood. I'm gonna quit my job tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to spending my days drinking Heineken, eating Colonels chicken, and watching SportsCenter in my underwear and scratching my balls and collecting my disability check.

Who's with me?

I’ve been trying to keep my head in a Vermont Country Store Catalogue all night. However seeing this thread, I am hoping that Texas can just secede, and McCain Palin can be our President and VP.

So glad we haven’t lost our minds in Texas.

I was tempted to call for a rain-out after the first three states had reported.

Although I was reading while driving, I didn’t think it would be a good idea to try and type.

It is a great state !! I had to laugh at the yard signs around my neighborhood. One day I was driving the back way to the store and I saw 1 Obama sign - the next day every house all up and down the street surrounded his Obama sign with McCain signs. It was just great - about a week later the Obama sign was down !!

“So glad we haven’t lost our minds in Texas”.
Well, Harris County, the Largest Reublican County in the United States has flipped Blue. All of the County wide seats (Which are ALL Republicans, and mostly Conservatives) are having their @sses handed to them.
The reason is demographics. Harris County has always had a huge Black population but now we’ve been overwhelmed by the Mexican Invasion which has reached critical mass.
They are forcing Blacks out of the inner city and they are moving to the inner suburbs. Then the Whites (read Republicans) are moving to the surrounding Counties.
The same thing is happening to us statewide and unless the Hispanics miraculously start voting GOP, we’ll be lucky to carry one more Presidential Election before Texas goes dark blue.
Thanks a lot Bush.

If TX would ever go blue it would mean God’s wrath upon our Nation.

Remember that song by Little TX? something like “ive come to spread the message god bless TX....god bless TX w/ his own hand brought me down to the promised land.... god bless TX!

Lived in Dallas in the mid 90’s i don’t miss the traffic but miss those Texans & how friendly they were. Would’nt mind the hill country at all.

The McCain List.

While not everything has gone our way, the Heart of Texas loves John McCain.

Thank you, Texas!
