An Historic Election
self | 11/04/2008 | self

In an historic event today, the United States elected its first illegitimate President. The President-elect, whose parents were never legally married (and whose father abandoned the poor strumpet and her child when his son was only an infant), sets a glorious example to the youth of the world. Shack-up, cohabitate, whatever – it does not matter. Any children you produce, no matter whether you are married or not, can now dream of becoming President. The stigma is now eradicated.

All those women who once hid behind a scarlet letter can now proclaim that their marital status – or lack thereof – is now trivial. What a glorious day!

All those men who may have never met or even known of the existence of their children can now celebrate. And they need not worry; for the government will be there in their stead, providing guidance, love, and the all important welfare check.

All of you children out there who never knew your fathers can now rejoice. You have been liberated.

I do, however, feel sorry for the clergymen whose function of performing marriages may no longer be deemed necessary. Yet another group to add to the unemployment rolls.

The “make love not war” immorality of the ‘60s has risen to the pinnacle of respect. Let us all raise a toast to Barack Obastard.

I fought as well. All I am saying is that America is getting what it wanted. A man with the most un-American name is now our leader. Maybe people like mine and yours family are not welcome any more.

Clinton soiled the office like none before him and paved the way.

I can’t let Osama ruin this country!!!

Do you mean politically or culturally? Politically, the dialogue--as it has over the last eight years--is going to move even more to the left. Culturally, we've got a snowball's chance in Kenya.

I've got a crazy idea: America, honor God, the true and living God whose name is not "Hussein."

Do you think anyone would listen? Probably not. Porn, gluttony, and cheap slogans are much more fun.

Mr. Obama (barring Joe Biden's wet dream) will be the President for at least the next four years. As the President, he should be respected and can be a great example to everyone. I hope that young men will follow his example and not the example of his father.

As for his policies, I hope the country will survive what I expect to be a total botch.

Perhaps America needed to learn something from this election. For too long, Americans have sat and watched and done nothing because “someone else” was doing it for them.

So how do we explain “our choice” to new Americans, who gave up so much to come here and “be an American?” Do we tell them, “Ooops!”?

My ancestors were not wanted for at least 400 years, and I don’t care if me and mine are “not welcome.” I will fight for the right to maintain my heritage.

Were my husband alive, he would, no doubt, be angry as all get-out over today’s election results. I was a military wife for 30 years, and I will not die while my country is being held hostage by a nasty, two-faced flannel-mouthed liar who has nothing but his own agenda to champion.

God will not be mocked. We have not seen the end of it.

This POS is just a president-elect now, not president. He stands for everything I’m against. Suck up to him if you wish but this looney tune is not giving him a chance.

The fact that he is half black doesn’t bother me. The fact that his soul, which he has shown us glimpses of, is very dark does.

PLEASE humor me, how are you going to live with that knowledge for 4 years (the fact is his soul is very dark)?

Enough, quit the belly aching and excuse making. You all sound more like liberals than the liberals themselves. Our party, our President, our so-called leaders lost sight of our principles and this is where we are. It’s time to clean out the trash and rebuild our party based on our core conservative principles. This is the same thing we got stuck with when we elected Bob Dole; nice guy, but he had no chance of winning. How many of you really wanted McCain as our candidate? We need to regroup, refocus, and start electing people that truly represent us. Let’s just hope we can do this as quickly as possible before the three stoogies do to much damage to this great Republic. Let’s face the facts; we were outfunded and outcampaigned by a rookie politician. We got BEAT plain and simple. Let’s learn from it; and never let it happen again. Frustrated and down, but will never quit..

historic indeed. whatever content of character? God help us as a nation. we have strayed far from your guidance. maybe four years of this guy will kick back some sense into the American people. We’ll take the presidency back in 4 yrs.

Life long democrats were telling me that this election was about ‘moderation’, that Sarah Palin meant an end to all aboriton, that McCain meant four more years of Bush economics, that ... well, you get the idiot picture. And then cuss McCain for picking Palin because she’s not qualified if he has to step down, then vote for a little Marxist squirrel who is less qualified because it will get the ;race question’ off the table forever now. ‘Democrat’ is a disease second in deadly consequence to the Republic to only liberalism.

and it sounds like there be no republic for the next four years at least, only an unshackled leftist autocracy.

It is truly shocking when you think about the fact that 20 years ago we brought the Marxist Soviet Union to its knees.

And here we (ahem - not me!) go and elect a Marxist to the US presidency. Absolutely in-effin-credible.
