We survived Jimmy Carter and we will survive this. Barak Obama won the election and the Governor of Hawaii confirmed his BC is legit as I understand it. He may have just always used the far left as his only ladder? Maybe he is in the center now that he’s there. The reality is one of your duties as a citizen is to respect and honor the office as well as the choice of the nation. If he is the disaster you predict it will be over in 4 years (unless it takes less to retake congress.) Today he is the President Elect and this is a milestone in history. You might call this wishful thinking, I call it my duty as a citizen. His name will set a record for additions to spell check dictionaries too.
On the light side we can now say: "BARACK'S FAULT", every chance we get, rub it in their faces.

Feel free to disagree and challenge decisions, but to diliberatly try to invoke a division in this country is counter productive and childish. I hope he does what he say he will. Our country united again is greater than “us winning”.

Perhaps it passed you by, but there has been a growing division in this country for a long, long time. And it gets bigger by the day. The cause of the rift feeds and grows on passivity and passivity is what is truly counterproductive,

This is the type of post that we all laugh at when seen on DU. Exchange the acronyms and buzzwords for liberal ones, then the tinfoil hat and moonbat posts follow quickly.
Try to rise above it folks. They won. We can either pout in the corner or try to help the country get back on it’s feet again. Our country is not doing well at the moment, and I do think the blame rests on the democrats shoulders. The president is a figurehead, and in times of emergency, our commander and chief. Obama claims to represent everyone, which is what a president should be. If he calls out the congress for their sad preformance, then he will have my complete support. Until then, I will not try to undermine a different approach to our ills.
If this is the first time in Michelle’s adult life she has been proud of this Country, well, I have to say, This is the first time in My Life I have been Ashamed of my CountryMen. The Change They want is Not the Change the Country Needs. IMHO The Constitution as we Know it, will be drastically changed in the next 4 years. And Not to the Better.
