I once read a quote by John Perkins that said “No constitution, no court, no law can save liberty when it dies in the hearts and minds of men.” Tonight we see that the majority of Americans have let liberty die in their hearts. They have willingly given away the freedoms that so many brave Americans have fought and died for.
Watching Fox and Friends this morning, I was amazed to see so many young voters holding the old Soviet Union flag in the background while chanting “Obama.” Even more amazing? No one chose to comment on this. Welcome to the New AmeriKA.
I do believe that this is a historical moment in our nations history. To borrow a famous phrase it is “ a date that will forever live in infamy.” On this date, Americans elected a man to the White House that is committed to “changing” the America of our founding fathers into an America that despises good work ethic and walks with her hand out for crumbs from the masters table. Gone are the days of doing good for the country. The new era of “Whatcha gonna give me?” has arrived.
This had better be a wake up call for Republicans. STOP putting up candidates that do not represent conservative ideas. We’ve been choking on them for years while your numbers have dwindled. If you believe that we are excited to see you “reach across the aisle” then you don’t really know us at all. We want you to fight. Fight for America and for all that was once right in this country. You have that mandate now, and it won’t be easy. That’s good, because when it was easy you too plundered the store house and gave much away. I am willing to forgive, but I’ll be watching you much closer this time. Remember who you work for.
We’ve been creating flimsy swords through “bi partisanship” and “conciliations” with the liberals. And we wonder why our weapons break when we attempt to engage our opponent? The strongest steel must be tempered by fire. This Presidency will serve as a forge for conservatives. When we emerge from the fire, our weapons will be strong enough to cut down the socialist ideology that has invaded our shores in strong numbers.
Don’t lose heart fellow freepers. The fight is just beginning!

It can be a bit lonely up here.
My favorite folks here are the old ones,almost 100% Republican,to their soul.
They have a wry humor,a decidedly philosophical view,are patient. Their lives go on,they quietly wait for the rest to catch up,routinely have a lot of laughs at their expense.
They are truly wonderful people.

All revolutions end eventually in civil war between the factions of victors. Bide our time and let them fight among themselves for the spoils of war. They will destroy themselves. But we must rebuild our strength and wait our moment.

After WW2, it was totally understandable why 18-21 year-olds could have the right to vote. Many were veterans, some ran their own businesses, others already had families and homes of their own.
They had adult lives, and deserved to have adult privileges.
But 3 generations of being punch-drunk on us being a superpower, and not having any world wars that they have to fight in, couple that with a life of comfort and ease and abundance, now we are faced with 18-21 year olds that think what they have is the NORM for the world. That it has always been and will always be.

Are you sure those weren’t some of ours making a political commentary on Obama with the Soviet flags?
Consider that the vast majority of voters voted on raw emotion (anger) and were swept up by chants of “change”- many do otnrelaize what they voted for.
The notion of liberty may raise itself in their hearts when they recognize what is slipping away, and when our newly empowered overlords are truly challenged to STAND AND DELIVER (which democrats have NO modern history of being able or willing to do)

Absolutely. We need to get ready because the big opportunity is coming. My only fear is that Obama will mess things up so fast that we won’t be organized enough for 2010 to fully exploit it.
