The "Fair" Tax is not fair to those who have saved and invested under a previous set of "schemes" of brazen theft. It's just another full bite of the apple.

0be's not for it, so it's unlikely to happen even if that pandering Huckabee runs again.

Boortz misses two of the biggest issues in his “what we have to look forward to: section

1) The elimination of the partial birth abortion ban act. Here comes completely unrestricted abortion on demand up to and including infanticide.

2) The infringment of the right to keep and bear arms.

Not to mention the fact that Israel is going to attack Iran sometime in the next three months. Sooner probably, rather than later.

The ONLY thing that can save this country is for a monumental scandal to hit Obama. Our side needs to start serious investigations into his past, including the Birth Certificate. There is still time for him to be exposed before he takes the Oath of Office.

Needless to say, I am today budgeting for the future.

Well, if you're looking for someone conservative and trainable, let me know. As a former NCO, give me the proper tools and I can do pretty much anything. :)

The Immediate Gratification Generation has spoken....The Entitled. They will be very disappointed very soon. Then there will be hell to pay when their helicopter mommies descend upon the White House.

We will have to take a look at the final vote totals, but I doubt that the Obama-McCain race will top the combined totals for the 2004 Bush-Kerry race, which saw a combined 121 million votes--62 million for Bush and 59 million for Kerry. If there was any gain in turnout, it was with Obama. McCain underperformed Bush. When you nominate the party maverick to be the standard bearer, there are consequences.

Obama's huge advantage in resources also played a pivotal role in getting out his vote. And the RNC gave McCain a lot of its resources hurting other Reps down ballot.

Immigration has been changing the demographics of this country rapidly. Non-Hispanic whites have declined from about 89% of the population in 1970 to 67% today. They have served as the Reps political power base. The GOP must develop a strategy to attract the so-called Reagan democrats and asians. It is a waste of time going after the black and Hispanic vote. Curtailing the number of legal immigrants and securing our borders will give us a fighting chance. Currently, 87% of the 1.2 million legal immigrants who enter this country annually are minorities and almost all of the 500,000 to 1 million who enter illegally are minorities. By 2042, half of the country will be minorities.

Huckabee seems like yet another “I just want the celebrities and the media to love me” guy. So many Republicans seem to just this approval from the beautiful people.

Obama is Teflon for at least the next year if the MSM has anything to do with it. The fawning will make you throw up in your mouth.

Making the rounds on Election Day, Senator Chuck Schumer reiterated his support for the Fairness Doctrine. He says he supports it because all people should support coverage that is "fair and balanced." He said, "The very same people who don't want the Fairness Doctrine want the FCC to limit pornography on the air. I am for that... But you can't say government hands off in one area to a commercial enterprise but you are allowed to intervene in another. That's not consistent."

Chuckie the Schmuckie..... fair and balanced huh? Another Harvard Law idiot who's never heard of the First Amendment.

Unless someone better shows up, Huckabee is my choice on the Republican side.

Over-all good analysis but Huckabee? C'mon Neal!

If he has to resign his seat, as governor she would be allowed to appoint herself as his successor!

Not any more. After Murkowsky(sp?) appointed his daughter, Alaska changed the law. Now there's a special election for vacant Senate seats. (but she could always run)

I agree with you (for the most part) about Vietnam...though I’m not at all sure Kennedy et al. should have promised them our defense in the first place. AFTER that though, we were honor-bound to stay and fight though...and the hippies who later got Obama elected made us run like cowards.

Bigger than our betrayal to Vietnam...and an issue Boortz is (also) blind about, is the 50,000,000 of our own children Americans have willingly terminated after the Court forced allowance of abortion in Roe v. Wade. Even Hitler “only” murdered about 20,000,000 civilians.... So the people of the “land of the free and the brave” have surpassed his horror....

I firmly believe Obama is the beginning of serious chastisement on America, as our sins are very grave.

It is no coincidence that just as the WWII vets are going to glory, our nation now faces dishonor and grim judgment. God is merciful to the heroes, not allowing their eyes to behold this nation’s sure decline and fall.

It is still hard to tell for sure the full extent of the damage in the Congress

I voted my Republican back in despite the fact he's failed us and the idiot still can't pronounce my county correctly.

WHAT WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO

Hope the coal miners and those industries dependent upon coal are happy with themselves today after slitting their own throats. The Supremes can now throw the Constitution in the trash once and for all. Hey, the sheeple wanted change. They drank the koolaid without bothering to look at the ingredient list.

wonder what percentage of the vote can be attributed to the media's fawning over The Chosen One?

Even while listening to FOX yesterday I had to ask Mr. J if McCain was even running.

Looking ahead to 2012? Unless someone better shows up, Huckabee is my choice on the Republican side

I said this a year or so ago, the Republicans didn't want this election. They did everything they could (except for Sarah!) to lose this thing. Tin foil, but I suspect they know something bad is coming and they don't want to have anything to do with it. If that's true, then I hope there's something left for them to come back to.

Yes, other than the voters who voted multiple times, the young voter did play a very big part in this decision. Neal hit the nail on the head with the "I want my mommy" election because we've raised a generation of immature whiny babies who rely on their parents for everything and aren't mature enough to so much as move out of their parents' homes long after they've gotten out of school.
