"An idea for small business owners: Make note now of which of your employees voted for Obama. When the tax increases hit and you're looking for a way to cut expenses to offset the higher taxes, they should be the first to go. They voted for it, let them suffer the consequences."

In my case, I work part time for a small business owner who supported Obama, while I voted for McCain. Makes no sense, I know, but that's liberals for you. I'm going to fire my boss by looking for a new job (wish me luck). Besides, his business may not be around that long anymore.

The voters who put Barack Obama into office bear little resemblance to the people who fought for independence 124 years ago.

The American people have now spoken, and once again they have spat upon America’s Vietnam Veterans. Now for their “just rewards.”

Karma

Barack Hussein Obama, a man with no record of personal accomplishment, no leadership experience, and a man with strong connections to terrorists, racists, and anti-American communists has pulled it off and has now been elected President of these United States, so what does it mean and what does it say about the American people? Could it be that karma will now bestow the consequences of dishonorable behavior on the American people? Why do I say this? In answer to my question, let me remind you of this statement and where these words took the American people:

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Inaugural address, Friday, January 20, 1961

With these words ringing in our ears, my generation went to Vietnam and promised the Vietnamese people we would stand shoulder to shoulder with them until their freedom was secure and the enemies of liberty were defeated. But, it is to America’s eternal shame and disgrace that the American people soon grew tired of this noble undertaking and betrayed the very people who had believed and trusted us.

Then, as now, the American people elected Democrats to our Congress who had rather see American soldiers killed and our country defeated than allow a Republican president to receive credit for defeating our enemies. This Democrat led Congress (the infamous 93rd) cut off funding for the Vietnam War and forced the withdrawal of American combat troops in 1973, but we departed with the hollow promise that we would return if the Republic of South Vietnam were invaded by communist North Vietnam. As everyone must remember, this, again, was a lie.

The tactic we had taught the South Vietnamese was to, when invaded by the North, fall back to a defendable position, stall the communist advance, force the communists to mass their forces before South Vietnam’s defenses, and this would allow time for American forces and air power to return to assist them as we had promised. South Vietnam did just that; for twelve days, outnumbered ten to one, the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) held and stalled the communist’s advance outside Saigon at a little town called Xuan Loc.

Outside Xuan Loc during April 1975, in an effort as gallant as that of the Spartans at Thermopile, the ARVN 18th Infantry Division held two North Vietnamese Army Corps at bay for twelve days. Every infantryman in the ARVN 18th Infantry Division died in that stand. None ran away and none survived. They died to a man fighting overwhelming odds and believing to the end we Americans would return as promised.

Just before the last ARVN soldier of the 18th Infantry Division died, he might have rolled over on his back and looked to the sky hoping to see the contrails of American B-52 bombers and he saw nothing; this last ARVN soldier then knew that he, along with all the Vietnamese people, had been betrayed. With his dying breath this last ARVN soldier must have then turned his gaze heavenly and beseeched God to Damn America.

Yes, there is such a thing as karma where dreadful consequences are meted out in recompense for dishonorable behavior. The American people’s just rewards for abandoning a valiant ally during their time of need is that the chickens will now come home to roost on the American people with an Obama Presidency, a Nancy Pelosi Congress and a Harry Reid Senate, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving people.

This election has been about more than just Obama, his arrogance, his empty resume, and his traitorous comrades. Just as karma provides consequences for dishonorable behavior, there are also adverse consequences for irresponsible behavior. As a people deserve the government they vote into office, they also deserve the consequences resulting from that government’s actions or inaction. The consequences of a government not securing a country’s borders is that a people will lose their country as we are now losing ours to an invasion of illegal immigrants. The consequences of not securing a country’s electoral processes to prevent voter fraud is that the country will lose its democracy to a thuggocracy as we have now lost ours to a Chicago mob-run Coup d’état.

But the final insult to our democracy is that the election of Barack Hussein Obama, an avowed Marxist communist, will close a significant chapter in American History. Our sixty-year Cold War with communism is finally over and the communists have won the war.

As we Americans continue to live out the old Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times.”

Great writeup but some issues.

The Fairness Doctrine makes MSM folks uneasy. That kind of thing can backfire on you.

Congress has to run in two years with no Presidential candidate to bring out the “walking around money”. They can’t go overboard with this stuff. They remember what happened in 1994 when the country blew them out of the water for raising taxes, threatening guns and monkeying with health care.

If we go into a recession, raising taxes will not be easy. It looks like you are kicking people while they are down. Making their paychecks smaller is not going to be popular even if you do call it an “investment”.

Health care has become the third rail of politics and Dems aren’t eat up with courage. Worse still for them, they can’t use the Republicans to scare people any more. They are out on that limb alone.

The first sentence of this article brought to mind one of my thoughts last night on the discussion of who won? The “pony tail guy” from one of the Clinton-Bush debates.

The “AmeriKan public” does indeed get the government it deserves. I’d like to say “Sorry” to folks like me, Just like you, I only had one vote.. Unlike the “vote early vote often, Illegal alien, dead people rising thing”, well I at least had a blast voting...

We are toast..

Laughing Into 1939

Al Stewart

Party hat and satin dress
Silver paper curled in her long black hair
Tapping one small elegant shoe in time
Oh, the way she plays with them
Smile at one, then dance with another
Pretty soon they're forming up a line
And she's laughing, laughing into 1939
Oh, laughing, laughing into 1939

Oh, the party draws them in
It breathes and moves
To a life its own
In its arms it's gathering all time
From the dark he watches her
Moving in and out of the bobbing crowd
If she even notices, she gives no sign
And she's laughing, laughing into 1939
Oh, laughing, laughing into 1939

For tonight is New Year's Eve
Uncork your spirits and welcome it in
Who knows what it's got up its sleeve
Can't wait for it all to begin
Stand by the girl with the purple balloon
The look in her eyes just lights up the room
In the corner of her smile
She'll be seeing you soon
Under a mistletoe moon

Out on to the balcony
Come the King and Queen
And the crowd go wild
He's a little bit nervous
But that's just fine
And they're laughing, laughing into 1939
Oh, laughing, laughing into 1939

Boortz likes Huckabee??????????? What a schmuck - Huckabee is another McLame but worse - he is racist pandering idiot. If we elect Huckabee as the nominee we will need to start planning for 2016.

I'm pretty sure that the main reason is Huckabee's support for Neal's pet project (which I happen to support) which is the "Fair Tax."

Rhetorical ability is so very important in politics. Obama has it, McCain does not. Smooth talkers win at single's bars and in politics .. often with similar outcomes for the listener.

Good line........and correct.

Neal is not a very good proof reader. Typos like this are a regular occurrence in his daily missive.

When I asked him in what way- (he has worked for us for last 10 years and makes a good salary.) He said gas prices are higher- He almost got away with it till I told him he has a company car and I PAY FOR THE F*ing GAS!!

You might have also mentioned to him that for the last 2 years of those 4, when the gasoline prices were skyrocketing, congress was controlled by the dems. On the other hand, given how the republicans were spending, I'm not sure there was going to be a difference.

why can’t Sarah Palin run for the Ted Stevens Senate seat?

I'm not sure what the law is in Alaska, but she could probably appoint herself to replace Stevens when he goes to jail, and this could keep her in the news and in the public's mind, but being in the Senate does not give the experience that an "executive branch" position like Governor does.

Plus, The GOP has not had much luck running Senators for President.
