Sen. John Kerry easily won re-election just four years after he fell short in his bid for the presidency.

The Massachusetts Democrat today beat a fellow veteran, Republican Jeff Beatty, in his first campaign since failing as his party’s 2004 White House nominee.

Beatty called to congratulate Kerry just moments after the polls closed.

When is McCain's Senate seat up for re-election? I'm sure he'll be defeated...and NOT asked for any role in the Obama Regime.

Forget about Kerry leaving the senate...this is all bogus news being pumped out. With Kennedy in serious health trouble...they aren’t about to let this guy suddenly leave their “senior” status that they have with this guy (in case Kennedy suddenly expires).

In fact....not a single democratic senator will be leaving office (my humble opinion) because it then brings up a chance of the replacement losing his office in two years when the election is held to really replace the guy. You will see mostly ranking representatives or unemployed democrats who get positions.

As for the amusing comment of one Republican being brought in as the “token” Republican....the only possible choices are the moderate Republicans who lost their Senator races. I can’t any of them taking the deal...so this will likely just go by the wayside unless they dig up some guy whose been out of politics for ten years.

Beautiful. I hope the 0 keeps up in this vein. It would be entertaining if not so sad, and it will make folks yearn for the peaceful and prosperous Carter years. No better way to set up Palin as Reagan in 12

In the 2010 midterm...and I almost wish I could move to Arizona, so I could vote against him in the primary.

The fact that Sarah Palin, the main reason most of us gave a rip about McRino, felt the need to apologize for possibly costing the top of the ticket votes, reminded me of what talk host Hugh Hewitt said about JSM: "great American, marginal conservative, terrible Republican."

But I'm not bitter...

LOL. If Lurch becomes Secretary of State then Mad Maddy will no longer be the ugliest ever......

Don't blame me. While he's picking up democrat Massholes he might as well grab fellow So. Chicagoan Deval Patrick for AG and Barney (Fanny Mae) Frank for Sec. Treasury.

Bad luck for Jeff Beatty. He gets terrible press, but deserves better. He was wounded in Grenada in October 1983. It was a real wound inflicted by actual enemies, which puts him one up on Kerry in my book.

As far as Kerry as SecState, I think the guys starting the rumors are the ten Massachusetts Congressmen, all of them Democrats, most of them nonentities. (Bwawney Fwank is the exception; everybody knows that simpering little lisp). Each of them figures he’s the one the Party (in Mass. there is only one Party) will select to replace the dying Ted Kennedy, and they’re butting heads because it’s only one slot. Two slots opening up would let the Party reward twice as many hacks.

Complicating the matter is the Kennedy family’s desire to place one of theirs in the family seat. What makes it harder for the Kennedys is that their celebrated alcohol and drug abuse leaves each generation less capable than the one before it.

They’ll have to come to a decision soon, because Ted’s troubled life is burning down to the wick.

Besides SOS, it mentions Sec. of Defense - that’s a major barf suggestion.

“I will predict right here and now that Obama won’t offer any cabinet posts to that doofus, Kerry.”

Would agree but for one point, Kerry has done serious heavy lifting for the communists (as well as his father). O’s handlers may conclude Kerry is due some payback.

"But I'm not bitter..."

I'm not bitter. I'm angry and I'm sad and afraid for my country. Rush can put the whole "rebuid the Conservative Movement/Party..." schpeel because that is his new thing/spin... but the fact is, we may not be able to do any of that. Forces have been unleashed, in my belief, that are going to prevent (or work very hard to keep) the Conservatives from ever regaining power again...no matter how bad they screw [FUBAR] things up in the first year or two...

P.S. changed my tagline

The thought of Lurch constantly in the news in a cabinet position is just, well ... it’s just really enough to gag a maggot (apologies to maggots).

Lets see, A Marxist president, Kerry talking with Putin to stop the invasion of Europe and a Nuclear war, Barny Franks owning Americas Banks, and Pelosi saving the planet by banning carbon based fuels so we can use Natural Gas. It's like Bevis and Butthead go to Washington.

Amazing. The Inmates are running the Asylum. This is like September 11 to me, It feels like a nightmare that I cannot wake up from.
