The McCain Classless Cowards
Michelle Malkin ^ | 11/05/08 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 11/06/2008 3:38:47 AM PST by DocT111

The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Allah’s got the vid clip of a report citing unnamed McCain staffers accusing Palin of lacking, in Carl Cameron’s words, “knowledgeability.” More slime here. And here.

At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks.

Let’s assume the rumor-mongers are telling the truth for a moment. Who does it damn more: Sarah Palin or McCain and his vetters who green-lighted her for the vice presidential nomination? Don’t need an Ivy League degree to figure that one out.

Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didn’t agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.

And she did it all with a tirelessness and infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down.

Shame on the smearers who don’t have the balls to show their faces.

Thank you, Sarah Palin. Thank you for stepping up the plate and serving your country.

"She and we need a new political party. We will never get rid of the RINOS."

Indeeed. Based on the treatment of Sarah Palin by the "Republican Elites" during the campaign (As well as their general incompetence over the last four years) then to savage her so horribly for their own failures afterwards, I have decided today that the trial separation between my money and the Republican 'machine' is going to be a divorce. I'll continue to $upport individual Republican candidates who stick to conservative principles, but will urge them to come join us in our new party/movement, whatever that may be.

" ONE DAY after they win the White House the Dems are busy spreading “Divide & Conquer” dissension amongst Republicans....... and we FALL FOR IT! "

The GOP elite was just as guilty of this before the election as the Dems, and even more guilty since the end of the election. Palin is more of a threat to the Republican elites than she is to the Democrats right now. Plus the handy scapegoat for them to hide their own incompetence.

"fully agree with MM, but sadly, I totally disagree with you. SP is damaged goods"

She may be. And while I like her very much, I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon of her being the hope for the future. But I'm going to watch closely. Now that she doesn't have to carry McCain's dirty bath water, she can prove herself AS herself, rather than as a surrogate for a horribly flawed candidate.

"Whatever happened to editorial discretion at FOX? The Cameron Gossip Page should be deep-sixed, and the little fairy should be hung out to dry."

FOX has has been trending left for two years. With the election of 0bama, they immediately went on their knees to their new 0verlord, hoping that the coming (un)"fairness" Doctrine would go easier on them.

There wasn’t one. I’ve often said that there are only two kinds of people who can tell folks what to do on this site: People with “moderator” in their screen name and people with “Robinson” in their screen name.

However, the fact that I don’t have the authority to make you do it doesn’t make you any less of a B.S. artist and/or intellectual coward. If you really had something you would put up.

We’re not going to throw this woman under the bus so we can have more donkey-kissing RINOs from the DC tarpit running the show. Get used to it.

I’ve heard of the CFR, but find it a bit hard to believe.I’ll look for the book to read. Sounds far fetched.

I heard some of these McCain handlers are shills for other candidates.

They probably want another moderate to run next time.

I am truly ashamed that there are people, such as this, in our party. I hope Gov. Palin can separate the jerks from the hard workers and build a team for 2012, if she decides to run again.

I worked my butt off for McCain these last months ONLY because he isnt Barack Obama. The only thing he did right throughout his entire campaign was picking Sarah Palin as his VP. Now the very people that led our party to disaster are attacking the one person who worked so hard to save it. Sarah will be back and John’s time is over. He is a military hero but a political fool who made it to the bright lights and wilted. He can go back now to being a RINO and let real Republicans rescue our party.

I second that. McCain never even gave the United States fair warning that we are dealing with a Manchurian candidate who couldn't even pass a basic security check. It was Governor Palin who had the guts to bring it up. No wonder the staffers fought with her. She aimed straight for the stated goal; whereas McCain and his staff were more concerned about his long friendships with Democrats on the Hill than they were with defending the interests of the American people.

I was thinking about McCain's “Country First” I was never fond of it. He was telling Republicans he did not share our values. If he wanted to represent the Republican Party well darn it, he should have. McCain should have put his party first, country first is just assumed.

Thanks for the ping unspun.
Sarah rocks and we want her to run in 2012.
When I signed on to work at a Republican Headquarters I signed on the day after she signed on. When I met her I told her, “Sarah, when you signed on so did I and we have 14 days to go girl, stay strong and stay tough and that millions were praying for her.
I will work very hard for her.

You could sign my name to your letter to McCain.

I didn’t ever give his campaign money, but after Sarah was on the ticket I sent a modest amount to the RNC.

John McCain sent a thank you letter. Ha! I sent the contribution in a birthday card (now belated) for George that Laura had sent out a few months ago.

McCain would have lost in 2000 as well if he’d been the nominee then.

JUST STOP IT!!!

We let McCain down. We’re the voter. It was our
job to support our candidate and make it happen.
We failed. Not McCain.

He was outspent 3 to 1 and kept his campaign finance
promises. Obama didn’t.

He was out promoted by the media 10 to 1.

Quit trying to blame McCain. He’s an American hero.
He fought an herculean fight against an ominous foe.
We should be heralding him, not vilifying him.

We have only ourselves to blame. We failed our candidate.
We’re pathetic and we deserve what we’ve allowed to happen.

Get your house in order ... ‘cuz we’re about to
reap the whirlwind.

God help us all!

*although his close ties to the CFR are apparent, no proof of George W. Bush’s membership has been found.
**Perhaps due to his widespread popularity, Reagan was the first president in many years who was not a member or close affiliate of the CFR. Some things even they can’t stop.

President elect Barack H. Obama is not known to be CFR but, Michelle Obama is/was on the board of directors for CFR Chicago. You can bet Obama’s cabinet and staff will be loaded with CFR members including this colorful gentlemen;
