The maps are interesting and show geographically where we lost ground. McCain was unable to turn a single state from 2004 to the GOP, but lost seven. The county total coverage is very similar to 2004, but you see in roads by the liberals in many suburban counties surrounding cities.

My county went McCain and so did the surrounding ones.

Too bad we always get outvoted by Trenton, Newark, Jersey City, Camden, etc....

I know you worked as hard as anyone to defeat Obama. God bless you. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I know that as we have evangelized, the results have been discouraging at time. I have said for years that people are just too comfortable right now to see a need for God in their lives. Perhaps this is the way people will be brought to the Lord again. We will survive and we will rise again. Hang in there.

Good to see Orange County (in So. Cal, on the coast) is still GOP territory. ....a tiny patch of sanity in a sea of lunacy.

On the down side, this is the first time I've ever seen San Diego county on the 'Rat side.

This map reminds me of picture of a lung suffering from cancer. It is metastasizing. Hispanics and college kids account for the difference. I think its just about over folks. I’m looking for alternative places like Alaska.

Well - the surrounding counties went blue because the ‘new voters’ will only travel so far to cast their 2nd+ votes ya know. /joke

Just look along the Mexican border and tell me all those were eligible legal voters.

Thanks for the map. I have been wondering how the county-by-county map would look this year. I can’t believe how blue Michigan is compared to 2004. Our Democratic governor and Democratic U.S. Senators have RUN OUR STATE INTO THE GROUND! And they get rewarded.

There’s a blue cancer spreading across the map.

People who live in sight of a skyscraper, an ocean, a Great Lake, or a major river should not be allowed to vote. I guess you can throw in mountains for good measure. From what I was able to deduce, Tarrant County, Texas (Fort Worth) was the only major metropolitan area not to go for the Socialist.

The Republican party needs to concentrate on :

1. Smaller, less intrusive government.

2. Abandoning trade policies that send our jobs away, providing a real alternative to dems who are doing the exact same thing.

3. Communicating the advantages of 1 and 2 in a coherent, passionate manner.

I agree with everything you said except this:

“We have not been attacked again. No spin can change that fact. George BUsh has defended America and done a very credible job of doing so and taking the fight to our terrorist enemies who are hiding in holes.”

Until we all realize we are being attacked EVERY day by the policies that Bush/McCain insisted on we will just have more of the same.

9/ll happened because of INSANE immigration policy. More Americans die at the hands of illegal aliens every year than have died in Iraq.

The McCain campaign took too much for granted. I helped open our local county office in August, and then tried for the next five weeks to get McCain/Palin signs and bumper stickers. We were repeatedly told by national McCain people that Indiana was not a priority. We told those people that McCain would lose Indiana if they didn't get us the materials to help the McCain effort.

Then three weeks before the election—after Obama pulled even—suddenly, we get 1,500 signs and several thousand stickers. We suddenly get a professional election worker (compared to 20 professional Obama staff members). With a week to go, we suddenly get 50 cell phones for phone banks.

The Obama office here had paid employees, a dozen computers, phones, and funding. Obama went after Indiana with gusto. They also started campaigning here in May. McCain limped into town on Nov.3.

Given the 0.9% difference in outcome between Obama and McCain in Indiana. I really believe that starting the push in August could have made the difference.

The 2004 - 2008 map shows that the pustulent big city sewers simply gained many more infantile voters who, like Joanne, expect Obama to give them everything they want. They will turn on him like savages once they find he lied.

What a Disaster.

The most disheartening aspect to this map is to see new Mexico, Colorado and Nevada. They look lost for a long time. NC and VA are depressing, but I don't think the state will hold in that model-same with FL.

Conservatives MUST MAKE ENROADS into Hispanic American culture over the next 8 years. Traditional, hard working legal Hispanic families share all of our values, but have been strongly marketed to over the last 10 years from the left.

I have heard much about demographics this week. I have to wonder, was it about the demographics or our candidate? You know, the guy who is throwing his running mate under the bus and can’t get back to being the darling of the NY Times fast enough.
