He’s President-elect Barack Obama’s new chief of staff, according to various Nov. 6 media reports, but Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., also has some baggage pertaining to the financial crisis. Will anyone in the media take note?
Emanuel, who was a senior adviser for former President Bill Clinton throughout the 1990s, was appointed to the board of Freddie Mac upon his departure from the Clinton administration.
“Clinton’s going-away gift to Emanuel was a seat on the quasi-governmental Freddie Mac board, which paid him $231,655 in director’s fees in 2001 and $31,060 in 2000,” Lynn Sweet wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times on Jan. 3, 2002.

RAHMBO was one of those infamous DNC apparatchiks who were lining their pockets as a Director (of all things) while that government funded and controlled entity was sowing the seeds of a meltdown of the US economic system?
Sounds good - next appointment will be Dr Kevorkian as Surgeon General? Or maybe some pacifist as Secretary of Defense (that is, in case Powell doesn't fill that role)?
Obama and Rham - perfect together.

Obama will get a free pass on everything he does. He could stand on a stage in front of televised studio audience, and bite the head of a baby and the audience and the press will cheer him. Get used to it. He is untouchable.

According to the Cook County Assessor’s website, the Chicago home of four-term Democrat Congressman and likely new White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, doesn’t exist. While the address of 4228 North Hermitage is listed as Emanuel’s residence on the Illinois State Board of Elections’ website, there seems to be no public record of Emanuel ever paying property taxes on this home…..
Why wouldn’t 4228 North Hermitage property owners Rahm Emanuel and wife Amy Rule pay property taxes?
One reason may be because Emanuel and Rule declared their 4228 North Hermitage home as the office location for their personal non-profit foundation called the “Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation”. As the non-profit’s headquarters, their home could be exempt from paying property taxes.....

Every American needs to know this. If Obama really wants to make changes to Washington, by appointing someone as patently tainted as Emmanuel even before he's inaugurated, he's guaranteed from the get-go that his administration will be a failure.
Haha yeah, but he was steering the ship that was about to go down like the Titanic.
