Sarah Palin on "Small and Bitter" McCain Aides Trashing Her
The Weekly Standard ^ | 11/06/08 | John McCormack

Byron York, Jen Rubin, and Michelle Malkin all have smart takes on the McCain aides' smearing of Sarah Palin. The Anchorage Daily News has a couple videos of Sarah Palin talking to the press after arriving back in Alaska, and it looks like she's more than capable of defending herself, if she thought it was worth her time. Regarding the leaks against her, Palin said:

“If they’re an unnamed source, then that says it all. I won’t comment on anybody’s gossip, or allegations that are based on anonymous sources. That’s kind of a small, evidently bitter type of person who would anonymously charge something foolish like that, that I perhaps didn’t know an answer to a question.

“So until I know who was talking about it, I won’t have a comment on false allegations.”

And if the "NO" (nameless one) is taking over a mess....can you imagine what Sara will face in 2012?

Staggers the imagination....it'll take her 8 years after her election just to break even!!

With all due respect, this is not a trivial matter.

Do I need a sarcasm tag on everything!?

Dick Morris and his opinions are trivial. Our admiration for Sarah Palin is real, but foe now -Trivial..a mere defelction. It makes us feel good.. But there is some serious shit coming our way in the present tense...not 2012...NOW.

Without a doubt, 55 Mil would have been 20 Mil without Sarah! McCain would have suffered the worst beating in American History if it hadn’t been for her!

Imagine if she coulda said what she reallly thought of the bailout!

So true! She's not stifled anymore. She can now align herself with more right-thinking Republicans who share her same ideas and really energize us before 2012.

She's tough and has class. John McCain wasn't serious about her, I don't think. John McCain wasn't serious about running as the Republican nominee for President, I don't think, either. But as it is, Palin is now outed and we haven't heard the last of her, yet, thank goodness!

I think the media did some permanent damage to Palin. She's made out to be the laughing stock of all politics.

I like her a lot, but I also think the damage will be permanent. It shows what $100's of millions in negative adds, and a complicit media can do to damage the mindset the country has about a person.

I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see her stay in the news.

Thank you! I am going to keep these words handy! Very motivating. I turned so emotional during his concession speech...very powerful. I stood up in my living room and saluted a TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT!!!!

Palin won our hearts. But she did not win this election.

It is Obama we must deal with - not our dreams.

I’m with you. No more “lesser of two evils.” Evil is evil and it won’t get my vote. There are no “small” sins.

No prob.

I couldn't even watch the news or read the paper until today.

We must be aware. We must not take comfort in what not is yet (Palin, next term). We must deal with reality or lose!

Palin should just handle her business in AK until 2012. She'll have another 4 years of executive experience under her belt, she'll be battle-tested to deal with the vultures in Washington. Picking Palin for VP was the best thing McCain has ever done for conservatives. Now she has name recognition and she has been thoroughly vetted, and will be ready for 2012.

Agree!

I agree. 2010 is important. We have to get true conservatives back into the House and Senate. And then go from there.

You want the names of the “mofo’s”?

Don’t hold your breath. They don’t exist.

This was Obama operatives spreading false rumors.

Why?

They FEAR Palin.
