Kindergartners given homosexual 'pledge cards'

Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 11/6/2008 6:00:00 AM

A pro-family advocate is outraged that a California public school teacher would pass out homosexual pledge cards to her kindergarten students.

The pledge cards were produced by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, and featured oaths that students would not use "anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender language or slurs," that students would intervene on behalf of homosexual students when possible, and that they would actively support safer schools efforts.

Tara Miller is a kindergarten teacher at Faith Ringgold School of Arts and Science in Hayward, California. She passed out the pledge cards to her students, which she then asked them to sign. Peter LaBarbera, the president of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality, is outraged at Miller's actions.

"First of all, why is homosexuality as an issue being raised at all in kindergarten? These are students who don't even know what sex is yet, and this teacher is talking to them about homosexuality," he contends. "This is an abuse of these students' minds, and it's just wrong."

According to a report on FoxNews.com, one parent was angry when she found her child's signature on the pledge card. LaBarbera believes this instance highlights the real agenda of the homosexual movement.

"This is just bizarre, and it shows how the teachers with their radical sexual agenda want to start early to reprogram these kids' minds. They want to undermine the faith teachings that the kids have at home; this is part of a plan," he suggests. "To me, this is like Hitler with Nazi Germany and the Soviets wanting to get to the youth and change the kids by getting to them at a very young age."

In the same report on FoxNews.com, a spokesperson for the school agreed that the pledge was inappropriate for the kindergarten students and said that the pledges were meant for middle school and high school students.

As though giving them to middle- and high-schoolers and forcing them to sign is somehow okay. Kids should be taught to respect EVERYONE — but the truth is they make fun of one another for all kinds of reasons. Always have. Always will. This is just more homo-is-best brainwashing.

No doubt teaching sexual confusion is inappropriate for kindergartners.

So teaching immorality to middle school and high school children is better or more appropriate?

Why does anyone send their children to these schools any more? There are so many alternatives.

This is wrong and outrageous on so many levels. It’s time to storm that school and get some teachers and adminstrators removed.

I agree 100%.

Shun the public schools as much as possible. If you must deal with them, be ever vigilant.

please read
http://home.comcast.net/~llefler/clavell.htm

Johnny put up his hand. “It’s our flag,” he said fiercely. “We always pledge.”
“Yes,” the New Teacher said. “It is a very pretty one. She looked at it a moment and then said, “I wish I could have a piece of it. If it’s so important, I think we should all have a piece of it. Don’t you?”
“I’ve a little one at home,” Mary said. “I could bring it tomorrow.”
“Thank you, Mary dear, but I just wanted a little piece of this one because it’s our own special classroom one.”
Then Danny said, “If we had some scissors we could cut a little piece off.”
“I’ve some scissors at home, Mary said.

“There’s some in Miss Worden’s desk,” Brian said.

The New Teacher found the scissors and then they had to decide who would be allowed to cut a little piece off, and the New Teacher said that because today was Mary’s birthday (HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?) Mary asked herself, awed) Mary should be allowed to cut the piece off. And then they decided it would be very nice if they all had a piece. The flag is special, they thought, so if you have a piece, that’s better than having just to look at it, ‘cause you can keep it in your pocket.
So the flag was cut up by the children and they were very proud that they each had a piece. But now the flagpole was bare and strange.
And useless.

The children pondered what to do with it, and the idea that pleased them most was to push it out of the window. They watched excitedly as the New Teacher opened the window and allowed them to throw it into the playground. They shrieked with excitement as they saw it bounce on the ground and lie there. They began to love this strange New Teacher.

It’s not enough that the gays do their deeds in the privacy of their own homes and bedrooms. These deeds, what the Bible calls abominations were once outlawed in America

Now that no one bothers the gays they are now propagandizing us to make us accept and validate their “lifestyle”. And to twist marriage 180 degrees to accommodate gays getting married like in some pagan societies

“This is a sure sign of the beginning of the end.”

The destruction the left has brought on America is breathtaking in its scope. The left MUST be attacked and attacked again until it is nothing but a decayed and rotted spot on the landscape, a curiosity for future generations to point out and comment that “That is what becomes of a threat to the United States.” Show no mercy; give no quarter.

These liberals are one sick bunch. Has anyone even heard about any heterosexual group giving kindergarten children pledge cards? I didn’t think so.

We need to call each of these horrible incidents to light. We also need to email supervisors and boycott where necessary to make our point.

Is there any chance we can call this school and hold them accountable? We need to make sure that this teacher was disciplined and express outrage at their blatant effort to indoctrinate children.

a captive audience or class, unable to leave of their own accord.
