to for freedom and wealth if they so desire.
The last place of real hope they will have no longer.
Will people be able to CHHOSE where to ‘volunteer’? IOW, is Planned Parenthood ok, but pro-life activities not?
Wonder how many Cubans voted for him.
He’ll convince them they’re doing the right thing.
I want to know if they’ll have to wear uniforms or what styles of
clothing will “have to go”.

This is what the text now says in the America Serves section:
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start."
Gone are words about "requiring" service for school....now it is just a "goal." ALSO added is some gimme to students who do it in college.
Did you see the website use to say that because they have changed it back and taken out the word required and added the college money stuff.....
They read this forum and adjust their content to any exposure we see as damning.
Wow, this forum just became a severe waste of time. the problem with rightwing nut jobs is that fundamentally, they are just like liberal sissies...they find it better to speak loudly and ignorantly opine the to discuss and find the right solution. volunteering for high school credit has nothing to do with slavery, the draft, or coercion... what bothers me about “america’s choice” is that O is going to put gov’t above private ownership and capitalism. he will bankrupt coal companies; start cap and trade for a carbon tax that has nothing to do with ‘global warming’; and use punitive tax measures to reinforce the class warfare that they’ve created. this is how Chavez will stay in power. all we need now is for him to threaten the oil companies with nationalization and give the company to the workers.... he might take the farm land as well. try to discuss something to reach the conclusion instead of being a naif, or worse, a lemming... and for the record, i am an eagle
What an absolutely inappropriate response to my post.
Obama's community service would be required. Currently in my school district, community service is required to get a degree. I am against government required community service.
Both Obama's plan and my kid's school plan are inappropriate. Required community service for kids is an assault on inalienable rights. As a parent, within reason, I will decide if and what my kids do. The government should not be doing that.
And because of that view, in your "judgement", I'm a "rightwing nut job", similar to a "liberal sissy" and I'm a "naif", a "lemming" who "ignorantly opines".

They may be getting unfavorable responses in comments to the site. That means they’ll just try to hide their true agenda better.
Amazing - he changed it back. I wonder if he was receiving a negative response from college students who would soon be required to do 100 hours of community service. I saw his site and it specifically said ‘100 hours - required’.
What do you make of his wording being changed?
Somebody saw it and realized it would anger a lot of people is what I think.
My mother-in-law has been working and providing for her family in America for 50 years. Her husband was an Air Force Mechanic. They’ve paid their dues. Now Obama wants to enslave Grandma too? It’s not enough that she’s paid her dues? Ungrateful...

as long as the government is giving money to education, they can require what ever they deem ‘appropriate’...
enter... the department of education. it should be disbanded, effective immediately, make the school districts be responsible to their community- not some government bureaucrat and their constituents...
i was born and raised in texas, i now live in boston, in my district, there were just over 1200 that voted, 19 of us voted for McCain, don’t try to lecture me about being conservative, or a newbie...

I do not think someone who has had a FR account for less than a couple of weeks should be advising how this website should be run. By the way, you were saying this to someone who has had an account on here since 1999 and has probably seen many elections via FR.
