WASHINGTON — A powerful new lobbying force is coming to town: Barack Obama's triumphant army of 3.1 million Internet-linked donors and volunteers.
In a mass e-mail thanking them, written moments before his Grant Park victory speech, Obama put them on notice. "We have a lot to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next," he wrote.
Many are eager. "I'm going to be sitting at the phone, asking, 'What do you want me to do next? I'm ready,' " said volunteer Courtney Hood, 37, a mother of three from Owings, Md.
How Obama will use his ardent laptop-armed cadres is unclear. So is the extent to which they'll rally behind his priorities, press him for their own or both.

He will force NSA to look for new ‘tags’ in their monitoring of all world communications. The ‘tag’ words will be words commonly used here. Contributors are secondary to him now. He , with the Congress, effectively has control of the Treasury - he doesn’t need the piddly money from the contributors anymore. What he will begin rooting out is dissent.

A similar group, the now defunct Clown Posse, took exception with a comment I made here and using my profile determined by identity. They joked about calling my local Police Chief to appraise him of my presence in the city and how they should be on the lookout for me. That would have made him laugh. Nice Bushmaster AR-15’s with laser scopes our PD has. It was heavier than I thought it would be.
