By the way, in one of life's little bits of synchronicity, I found out that BfL also stood for an organization in NAZI Germany known as "Bund fur Leibeszucht", the official government office of nudism (as a sport).
How the heck did there come to be a government office of Nudism in der Fuhrer's (1936 edition) government? Because the NAZIs went around outlawing nudism, when they got into power. In response, the different offshoots of nudism (commercial nudists, apolitical nudists, and yes, fascistic nudists) came together to organize nudism as a sport, and in Germany, sports had and/or have governmental oversight.
Apparently whole books have been written about the NAZI official office of nudism (as a sport). Funny, the things you learn when trying to decode an acronym!

Wartime slave workers seek cash from German firms
A group supporting wartime slave labourers urged Germany’s three biggest chemical firms on Tuesday to pay compensation for survivors of work camps run by the IG Farben conglomerate.
They said BASF, Bayer and Hoechst were successors to IG
Farben, which made poison gas for the Nazis, and called on them to admit their responsiblity for the thousands of deaths of workers in forced-labour plants.
``No other branch of industry was so closely linked with the Nazi regime as the chemical industry,’’ said Philipp Mimkes, who initiated the campaign for companies to pay for upkeep of concentration camp memorials.
A BASF spokesman said his company denied responsiblity and
had no intention of paying compensation.
``BASF is not the legal successor to IG Farben, so there is no reason (to pay),’’ said spokesman Erdwig Meyer, adding the issue would be discussed at a shareholders’ meeting next month.
In a letter to shareholders last week, BASF said IG Farben
had paid 30 million marks in compensation to the Conference on Jewish Material Claims in 1957 for Jews and non-Jews who had worked for IG Farben in Auschwitz.
Bayer and Hoechst were not immediately available for
comment.
Mimkes said he and other campaigners planned to address
shareholders at the companies’ annual general meetings.
He did not know how many people had died working for IG
Farben but said about 10,000 survivors were still alive and
entitled to compensation.
IG Farben, formed in 1925 by the merger of BASF, Bayer,
Hoechst and Cassella, flourished under the Hitler regime and was the world’s fourth largest company until 1945.
It built a chemicals plant next to Auschwitz concentration
camp and used inmates as slave workers and human guinea-pigs for laboratory experiments and to test the effects of viruses, Mimkes told journalists.
Later it built its own concentration camp nearby called
Monowitz, where 370,000 people were murdered, he said.
IG Farben was broken up by World War Two Allies in 1945 but
still exists as a company under liquidation.

gas chambers, was produced by IG Farben, Mimkes said.
``The chemicals (sector) placed itself unconditionally at the service of inhumanity,’’ he said.

Bayer, IG Farben and World War II: Slave Labour and Deadly Gas
Bayer (along with BASF and Hoechst) was an original member of the IG Farben group. During WWII, IG Farben built a synthetic rubber and oil plant complex called Monowitz close to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Inmates worked as slave labour for IG Farben,[216] and when they were too weak to work they were killed in the gas chambers. IG Farben subsidiary Degesch manufactured Zyklon B, the gas used in the concentration camp gas chambers.[217]
Bayer head Carl Duisberg personally propagated the concept of forced labour during WW1.[218] The company placed itself under a large burden of guilt due to its heavy involvement in the planning, preparation and implementation of both world wars. The International War Crimes Tribunal pronounced the company guilty for its share of responsibility in the war and the crimes of the Nazi dictatorship.
On 29 July 1948, sentences for mass murder and slavery were handed down at the Nuremberg trials to twelve Farben executives. The longest sentence of only seven years was dealt out was to Dr. Fritz ter Meer, a top executive and scientist on the IG Farben managing board.[219]
After the war, IG Farben separated into three giant corporations: Bayer, Hoechst and BASF. On 1 August 1963, Bayer celebrated its 100th anniversary at the Cologne fairgrounds. The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Fritz ter Meer, not only out of prison but - a convicted mass murderer -elevated to the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bayer.[220]
More than eight million people had to do slave work for the Nazi war industry, and none ever received compensation from the companies or the government. David Fishel, one of the few survivors of the camp, sued the companies for compensation. When he was 13 he was forced to work for IG Farben carrying 50-kilo bags of coal and cement when he weighed only 75 pounds.[221]

IG Farben also conducted experiments on humans. Eva Mozes Kor, among the 1,500 sets of twins experimented on by the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele, claims that IG Farben monitored and supervised medical experiments at the Nazi concentration camp where she was interned. She claims the experiments involved toxic chemicals that IG Farben (Bayer) provided. In some of the experiments, the lawsuit states, prisoners were injected with germs known to cause diseases, “to test the effectiveness of various drugs” manufactured by IG Farben. Mengele conducted genetic experiments there in an effort to create a super race of blonde, blue-eyed Aryans who would be born in multiple births. Both Kor and her sister survived their 10-month ordeal in the concentration camp and were liberated by Soviet troops in January 1945. They were nearly 10 years old. According to Irwin Levin (Kor’s Lawyer), IG Farben paid Nazi officials during World War II for access to those confined in the camps and collaborated in Nazi experiments as a form of research and development. The lawsuit sought unspecified punitive damages and the recovery of profits it maintains IG Farben (Bayer) earned as a result of such research.
Eventually Eva Kor and various others were paid out of a fund put up by the German government and the companies. Bayer gave 100 million German Marks to the fund. The entire fund (totalling 10 billion German Marks) was a result of various American lawsuits - without the loss of reputation in the US the companies would never have agreed.

The Jews were the target of the Final Solution as a group, ie., a genocide. Very true. But, the author was absolutely correct to include Gypsies, homosexuals, disabled persons, and others because they were included and yes, they were at Auschwitz as well as the other camps. Matter of fact, the very first targeted people were anyone with military background. For those people were feared to stand up and say no first.
They were all sorted by the codes on their arms as to what class, group, religion, level of work code, medical experiment, etc. codes provided by IBM.

The primary victims of the Holocaust were Jews, gypsies and communists, with many other disparate groups (political opponents, Soviet army prisoners, et al) suffering as well.
But, the modern politically correct historiography simply cannot resist casting the oh so precious subculture of homosexuals into the role of “victims” so homosexuals can share in the victim cache.<<<
The Jews were the focus of ‘The Final Solution’. Gypsies were scooped up because they were ‘wanderers’. The had no form of classification because they weren’t citizens of any country. Therefore they couldn’t be counted and classified. People that weren’t conformists and political dissenters were also targetted. This group also included people military. Eliminating this group reduced the number of resisters and organizers of groups that would fight back. And yes, homosexuals were also victims because Bayer used them for one of their various medical experiments.
