Since you brought him up...

Address to the Nation on Federal Tax Reduction Legislation
July 27, 1981
“Are you entitled to the fruits of your own labor or does government have some presumptive right to spend and spend and spend?”
And it wasn't only that.
A provision in the bill was to have automatic increases without them even having to bring it up for another vote. That's no accountability.
And then there was the sponor of the bill. A divisive figure from a safe New Orleans district. Dem, of course. She had been feeding her boyfriend earmarks for a couple of years, running people off the road with reckless driving and getting away with it.
The whole fiasco was infuriating ESPECIALLY when we were supposed to be getting a fresh start after Katrina and a 'conservative' governor.
This is how you lose always and forever. You very publicly quit and undermine your own party because one of its top rising young talents is only 95% of what you want instead of 100%. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
The O’ is your candidate. The uniter ... remember.
“But you can take it to the bank that hes a Big Government guy. There is a paper trail to prove it.”
Okay. That’s it for me.
I never want to hear about Jingal Jangle again.
And yes, I’m serious.
That was in LA.
Checked out your Freeper page. My husband said he understood
your positions. He said to tell you ki5gf. And I do everything he tells me.lol
Jindal let it be known well ahead of signing he would not veto it. All public hell broke loose and he vetoed it instead.
There is nothing more foolish than tearing down your best option because it's not perfect.
Or do you have something better to offer Louisiana and the country right now?
Oh, blah, blah, blah...
What I'm telling you once again is that Jindal is a Big Government Republican. Should Jindal make it to high office and starts taxing and spending like a RINO, I don't want FReepers bellyaching and whining that no one from Louisiana warned them about it.
Well obviously it is you that is important here.
At least as important as you are, lol!
Jindal compromised on a Minor issue (pay raises) and won the major one (ethics reform).
Griffon should run for office if he wants a purer conservative in power.
Got dat right, cher!
Imagine if ABCNBCCBSMSNBCCNNNYT came down on you, too! lol
It's taken me a long time to get past perceptions and look at the details in politics. Like making boudin, it ain't pretty. (damn, now I'm hungry).
Always enjoy your Dinosaur Media DeathWatch updates.
Or fortunately, when the Louisiana legislature is concerned:
if based on merit, they'd still be paid what they were sometime in the early 1800s...
Ain't gonna happen. He is much more effective right where he is.
More true than we’d like to believe. If we cannot get Republicans to vote against Obama because they dislike McCain, we’re in trouble. I didn’t and don’t like McCain, but I’m smart enough to see that 4 years of McCain would have been better for the country than 4 years of Obama.
She is called Governor Palin.
Maybe you have not heard of her.
Okay. Did he or did he not allow the large pay raise as charged in the article? If so, how do you defend it? It doesn’t sound very conservative to me.
Initially, he said that he "didn't want to get involved in the internal affairs of the legislative body." He hemmed and hawed for a week or two and after very intense public pressure, he vetoed it. It was all documented here on FRee Republic.
