Nither bold nor blue will make what you say true.

Boner opposed the moratorium on earmarks.
He refused to take action against Bob Ney.
He tried to strong arm Republicans into supporting Nancy Pelosi's $700 Billion Bailout.
He has provided no clear direction, message, new ideas, or vision for the party which he supposedly 'leads'.
He has lost 20% of his caucus since taking over the leadership position.
He has a proven track record of losing, and losing big.
The GOP cannot correct course under the same captain.

How much more do you need?

Right on counterpunch.

AIG is making a joke of the bailout as if it were there perpetual food stamp program. GM and Ford want to get in line. Removing ACORN made it acceptable?

The American people were right - Boehner was wrong, and more wrong the second time when the bailout offered more pork to buy more votes. That isn’t exactly a smaller government message.

Ron Paul has got to be laughing his ass off over this. He predicted all of this during the debates and primaries. He specifically mentioned that the GOP was losing support because they haven't cut gov't and spending and was laughed at by the other jokers.

Mike Pence should run for leader’s post, not conference chair, I heard that Boehner on (pre-emptively) supported him for this spot because he was afraid (Pence) and the House Conservaitves would oust him for his obviously ineffective leadership! He should be scared, if not Pence we need a member (not Ryan or Cantor as they have “sold out”-Check their records) who has been a hard-core both fiscal and social conservative..

Go no activsts..!

Boehner needs to make way for some new blood.

There are a half dozen or more conservative associations, which publish their ratings of Congress. I don’t know Boehner because I’m, obviously, not from his congressional district but before I’d bad-mouth him, I’d check his “conservative” ratings with those various groups!

You are exactly right.
Boner backed Pence preemptively for the #3 spot in order to save his own spot as #1.
Jeb Hensarling was going for the #3 spot originally, but backed off for Pence.

We must demand Boner steps aside for Pence and Hensarling take #3.

I already have.
Boner is on the soft side of conservative, earning a rating of 88 in 2006.
Pence earned a rating of 100 that same year.

But anyways, “conservative” ratings only tell half the story.
This is about more than votes, it is about leadership.
Boner has a proven record of failure as leader.

Oh, well, he got Acorn removed. All Hail the mighty leader.

I really don’t care if folks love him in his district. He isn’t just one congressman. He by choice pursued leadership and it’s his duty to represent and set the agenda for the House Republicans. he chose to use that authority to push the bailout and if you really believe Acorn funding was at the heart and soul of the opposition to that legislation then you don’t understand what we’re really about anymore then he does. And clearly you don’t understand the majority of the voters who disapproved of it either. Going to be hard to re-capture that majority for House Republicans when their own leader failed to grasp or care about the public’s view on government using their money to bail out incompetant or corrupt lenders.

Wow, smaller, less intrusive government, finally. Where the hell was he when the Republicans were in charge?

I guess I’m going to be one of the few who will speak in favor of the incompetent and ineffectual Rep. Boehner. He and his leadership cohorts have done a remarkable job of wrecking the GOP in the last few years.

As I believe that the absolute best outcome for conservatives is for a third party to replace the corrupt, inept, generally useless and only occasionally conservative GOP, how could I do anything other than support Rep. Boehner? With his leadership, such as it is, it won’t be long until the GOP is polling in the single digits and is about as relevant as the Women’s Temperance party.

Keep up the good work, Rep. Boehner! Incompetence such as yours is a treasure for those of us who look forward to a conservative political party in the future.

Boehner wrote that during an Obama presidency, Republicans will "stand firmly against policies that violate our principles."

Please. They couldn't even get anything done when they had a lock on the whole deal for six years. Forgive me if I have no faith (or respect) for these yahoos anymore.

lets add that Boner allowed Tom Cole to pull the funding for Musgroave and Bachman three weeks before the election !
Boner did not have the SMARTS to RUN a National AD campaign hanging the Freddie and Fannie and the gas prices around the head of the house named San Fran Millionaire leftist Named San Fran Nan.
That was the slam dunk PR campaign Begging to be unleashed for 30 days ! TOM COLE HAS TO GO TOO !!!! NOW!!!!
