“Racist views”? I wrote supporting limited government ideology over party loyalty. What Democrat talking points are you smoking?

None, dear. You are clearly just here to argue, whether you have a point to make or not. Go away.

Okay, you clearly lack reading comprehension skills as well. The point I made originally... and continue to make, and you continue to avoid whilst responding with contect-free insults... the GOP had all 3 Houses for 6 years, and did nothing to advance limited government causes domestically. Hoping for more GOP victories, without paying attention to their ideas (hint: RINO's), is flatly short-sighted.

Likening this simple point to racism and argumentativeness simply and amply demonstrates the lack of insight into the real problems within the GOP party structure.

Ok, here goes...

(me) If you want to play a numbers game, and equate demographics as a “reason” to do something, enact a law, create some form of “balance” in the way thi country is led, and the way the government operates...If that is your opinion, thats fine, I disagree if that is what you are implying...

(you) It was the 1965 Immigration Act that changed the demographics of this nation. Laws do have consequences and they are not always beneficial no matter how well meaning they might be. The 1965 Immigration Act: Anatomy of a Disaster

That act, if I interpret it correctly, set us up a long time ago down this path...And it has been a bumpy road since then, and our government has played into the game by playing both sides, one more than the other, and that side being to sweep the issue under the rug and not make any substantive action to control the ABUSE of the original intent of the act...That seems to be typical of our government these days...

We have existing immigration laws that are not being enforced by our own government. How would you deal with the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens who have entered this country illegally?

Hmmmmmm, lesse...Cease and desist all catch and release, deport immediately, and with extreme prejudice, meaning, that when you start sending the message of what the government likes to call it’s “Zero Tolerance” policy...Most illegals will get the message...Go home...And if you want to come back, do it the right way, and I for one will be the biggest supporter of that kind of immigration...

Ok, a quick lesson of Steve...I married a naturalized immigrant...She and her family did it the right way...They did not sneek into the country, and they did what was required to assimilate into our “culture” over time...While retaining their honored heritage and culture, in my opinion they are true Americans...And they do not desire to hang a hyphen on their original nationality...

So don’t assume I am not in depth with the issue at hand...

(me) America is certainly a melting pot of people and cultures...But it is a nation built upon laws and rules...But there are people out there that expect considerations based solely upon surface traits...And will use certain deficiencies as crutches to “get their way”...

(you) The problem is that we are no longer a melting pot. Diversity awareness and multiculturalism have seen to that. And there are laws that rely “solely on surface traits” to grant certain Americans benefits and advantages not enjoyed by the decreasing majority, e.g., affirmative action, minority business set asides, ESL courses that cater to learning based on language, etc.. When do these “crutches” cease being issued?

Glad you mentioned this...It ceases when both sides of the aisle stop play to both sides of the equation...democrats want the voting base, and republicans don’t want to appear racist, and want to help businesses to exploit cheap labor...I say that because that encompasses the extreme edges of those political parties...Just my opinion...

(me) I believe that is the problem today, that there are people who are extremely intelligent and deserve all sorts of considerations, but are so intellectually lazy, that they get caught up in semantics, but that’s just my opinion...

(you) I have no idea what you are talking about. Care to elaborate.

Look at the outcome of the election...Some smart people with all things going for them, voted for a candidate that could not elaborate on many policies to the point of clarity that anyone who would agree or dissagree could assertain...And still the president-elect carried a whole website full of explanations, that within a 24 hour period cleared them ALL off, and left us with a very vague paragraph in its place...

How could anyone be expected to try and understand clearly what this guy is all about for over two years!!! When this is what occurs???

Many supporters of Obama are clueless and intellectually lazy to dig a little deeper than the color of ones skin to figure out what this guy is all about...That is it in a nutshell...

And this election was not about putting a semi-black man into the oval office...Nor was it based upon putting a liberal/socialist in office...

It was based entirely over the last 4 years, way back into 2004, when it was decided that this was going to be based purely upon revenge against the moral and conservative values most of us around here have, and its destruction...Plain and simple...

(me) I see where you are coming from, but I am just not going to buy into the deal that says a person or idea should be considered just because of how they or the idea appeal to a demographic...

(you) I don’t think you understand where I am coming from. I am against identity politics, which the Dems play very well and effectively. They have succeeded in making the Reps into the White Man’s party filled with bigots and racists. The fact is that they are the party that uses race and ethnicity to divide and frighten. I refuse to be defensive about my views or to pander to minorities by compromising basic principles such as the rule of law and no discrimination whether it is by the individual or the government. This country is being Balkanized successfully along cultural, racial, and ethnicity lines by the Dems for political advantage. The changing demographics will make them the permanent majority.

I think that was well said...When you put it like that, yes, I agree...Too much is played into those ideals...And by the wrong people...For the wrong reasons...

I don’t believe demographics, as you state, is something I consider to be much more than a definition of a way to exploit surface values of surface issues that have no real depth or substance...

Your writing style and content leave a lot to be desired. I have a difficult time figuring out what your point is and what ideas you are trying to communicate.

I get the feeling that you would prefer to keep applying the template of race and demographics to appointments and other electable offices...

Just to keep it balanced...Regardless of the qualifications and experience which by the “demographic fairness template” is paramount abov all other issues...

Maybe I’m clear enough now, maybe not...
