Obama likely to escape campaign audit (What McCain was thinking ALERT)

The Federal Election Commission is unlikely to conduct a potentially embarrassing audit of how Barack Obama raised and spent his presidential campaign’s record-shattering windfall, despite allegations of questionable donations and accounting that had the McCain campaign crying foul.

Adding insult to injury for Republicans: The FEC is obligated to complete a rigorous audit of McCain’s campaign coffers, which will take months, if not years, and cost McCain millions of dollars to defend.

I for one am glad we can all go back to bashing McCain. It was really hard during the election to be enthusiastic about him. If it weren’t for Palin...

Sorry, I missed the irony through my tears as I reflect on what will happen to this country over the next four years.

TAKE HEART! NOT ALL IS LOST! The Scotch whiskey which was distilled the year Bob Dole was whupped is now 12 years old! Should be enough to last us all throughout the storm ahead.

As I predicted in October:

To: Unam Sanctam

If the American people are dumb enough to elect this loony liberal, then God help us because we will need it. Kiss your civil liberties, such as they are, good bye because the move to consolidate his power will be ruthless and swift and with Nancy and Harry Kow Towing he gets a pass from congress.

His fist step will be to stifle the inevitable justice department investigation of his money machine because big money equals big corruption and his campaign reeks like Enron. Next will be free speech and guns and God knows what else then its full speed to reelection.

Be afraid my friends. Be very afraid and get yourself and as many people as you can to vote for McCain even if you wold rather chew on tin foil. The alternative would be disastrous and irreversible.

It means it's no big deal...if $100 Million was illegal...because "0" raised 8-9 times that.

What the heck is up with Bush and the republicans. Why was ACORN and Obama allowed to steal votes through fraud. Why was Obama allowed to take campaign money illegally? Why has our, still Republican controlled, justice system stood by and just watched all this illegal activity?

I hope they take every dime he has left. What a complete and total loser. Americans love a winner, and will not tolerate a looser.

This is an HISTORIC level of funk. If it ever breaks loose it will make Teapot Dome look like a tempest in a teapot. Be vigilant -- be prepared to strike fast. We may only get one chance.

“reaching across the aisle”... in the end proved to be his undoing

A Great Lesson for ALL of us....kinda like 'reaching across the aisle to Al Qaeda'!!!!Turns out that BDS wasn't BDS after all...it was RDS! Any Republican in that chair is anathema to the new DP (Dysfunctional Party).

Some of us believe that you actually could have said: “laws are still on the books and we can count on them being used exclusively against Republicans from now on.”

To: Libertarianize the GOP

I think you are correct. Everything about Obama’s campaign seems to lead to the idea the man is bought and paid for by some wealthy coalition.

You state: “Obama had to know who was behind his record fundraising when he decided to forgo public funds.” I believe he knew who was behind it all prior to running. I believe he is a Marionette for a wealthy coalition of self serving purpose. I believe he knowingly lied when in the beginning of his campaign he stated he would accept Public Funding. He lied to throw off suspicions of his resources.

I’ll never forget that comment he made as a retort to the McCain camp “He doesn’t know who he is dealing with”. I thought at the time simply an egotistical jerk shooting off his mouth, but after analyzing the overall picture I see more to it. He ran a slick and costly campaign that was very well organized in every detail. That requires not only monetary backing, but (here’s the clinker) EXTREME CONFIDENCE IN THAT MONETARY RESOURCE.

Obama is loyal to some source, NOT to the people of this Nation IMO.

those who contributed far in excess of allowed limits have the ability to blackmail Obama if he doesn’t do their bidding.

...it'll be easy....just look at his Cabinet. The big donors will be sitting there.

What the heck does that mean! The fraud is so great, so why bother?

No. McCain used government funds to run his campaign...I always thought it was so stupid for a Republican to use tax payers money for campaign uses. Republicans are supposed to be small government independent people. What McCain did was suck the money out of the governments bottle and now because of that he will have to ensure that the welfare money he took (what else do you call it) will have to be scrutinized. O’Bama used volunteer money so the government does not care about it. Make sense to me.
