Bought my first on the first also - a 686PP 6”, and the Mrs got a 4” 686. Quite happy with them indeed!
Indiana - Gander Mountain. Winchester .38 steel tip target rounds. $46/box of 50. I asked the guy if they were missmarked. He said they were just outrageously expensive. They had Corbon and Gold Dot defensive ammo too. It was way over priced as well.
I was there buying some hunting gear and figured I’d pick up some ammo and put some rounds through my .357 and .45. A box of 250 rounds of .45ACP was $119. And that was the best deal they had on any ammo that I found.
It is Gander Mountain so take it for what it is worth.
Today my boss said that Obama had said that people could keep their hunting rifles and hand guns, but what do they need assault rifles for? I told him that the purpose of the Second Amendment was not to provide for hunting needs but to enable the citizenry as a whole to be a threat to whoever in the government would try to use the government against them in a despotic fashion. I told him that some of the founders actually said that the reason Europe was filled with despots was because the citizenry had no guns. It seemed as though he had never realized that if you can’t depend on someone’s word not to oppress you, the only alternatives are 1. to give in to the oppression, or 2. to threaten the oppressor (or potential oppressor) with harm if he doesn’t desist. There is no other way.
Gander Mountain is way overpriced. This guy has the best prices on the internet and they have been going up since 11/4.

Best thing now is to invest in reloading equipment and buy components and save all of you brass.
That's no joke, neighbor- I see all these "America is buying guns!" stories, read the comments, and just shake my head at the foolishness of it all. The Feds have all this recorded. It's way too late to stock up and hope "they" don't know about it- or you...
