I consider myself to be a pretty reasonable person.

The question in my mind is this, if these lawsuits are “garbage” and unfounded, why not just produce the document? And clear up any misunderstanding? Fairly simple solution that would shut the whole thing down.

This reminds me of John Kerry’s unreleased (to this day) military records. But far more serious.

I used to think so too; back when I first heard about it I just couldn't believe that a person could get this far in the process without having the ability to substantiate his qualification for the office. But, given that it would now appear that no controlling authority within the government (either Federal or State) exists that is nominally tasked with certifying that a candidate for the office of President qualifies for that office under the terms of the US Constitution, I cannot help but wonder "who has standing?" If we, the voters, don't have standing; if Democrat party members, like Berg, don't have standing; if members of the Electoral Collage don't have standing ... WHO DOES? Perhaps the USSC can, at least, settle THAT question. Perhaps they have standing, will demand a copy, and be able to tell us -- while keeping it confidential -- that Obama qualifies. I would accept the word of Chief Justice Roberts or Associate Justice Thomas on this without my having to see it.

All of that being said ...WHY is it such an objectionable request to present proof of one's qualification to hold the office of the Presidency?

If “most reasonable Freepers” don’t believe in the Constitution and thus, the laws set forth as to who may or may not hold the office of President of the United States of America and Commander in Chief of our military, then this website is a lie and a sham.

Who, if not “WE”, American citizens, should stand up and demand proof that a President-Elect is lawfully eligible to hold the office of President?

I’m not saying Obama is ineligible and I’m not saying he isn’t. But in my opinion, HE is the one who should be damned and slammed for being so arrogant and secretive as to not release his birth certificate.

Most reasonable freepers believe Zero is acting as if these cases are right on the money. Most reasonable freepers believe Zero would have acted like McCain when challenged on this issue and just show the freaking document rather than hide, lie and obsfusticate.
