Its over. The burden of proof is on us and a legion of opposition researchers, internet gumshoes, bloggers, reporters, etc haven’t turned up a thing to give legs to this controversy. So long as Hawaii says he is legit and we cannot prove otherwise then nothing is coming of this. I personally do not think that someone could get to this point with something so fundamental and so hard to hide in their background. The number of people who would have to be involved in covering up an issue as basic as citizenship is very high indeed.

It is not over and HE has the burden of proof to show he is eligible. This cat and mouse with the Constitution and the people only weakens an already pathetically weak president.

If you thought the howling during Clinton was intense, just wait. Democrats can only elect the pathetic.

Be a man, little boy... show us your birth certificate.

I agree - forget Obama’s camp, most reasonable Freepers think these lawsuits are garbage.

I once read a quote that was suppose to be out of one of his books, something to the effect that he said he wanted to become President someday but he knew he would have to lose his birth certificate. I tried to find the quote again on the net but the page has been erased. Does anyone else know about the quote or have access to it?

Hawaii didn’t say it was a legit birth certificate that showed he was born in Hawaii. They have a record of live birth on file but it could have been filed after his Mother return to Hawaii. No one knows where he was born or who the father was because he has no intention of revealing his birth certificate. WHY?

Then give up, and quit paying attention.

So long as Hawaii says he is legit....

When did that happen. All I've heard is that his BC record has been sealed, not that it's legit. The BC records in Hawaii could just be a Hawaii registration of his Kenyan birth.

Hawaii did not say HE was legit, only that they had a valid certificate on file. That certificate would be issued, even in the case of a non-citizen, adoptee, etc.

They did not say DUH1 was born there.

You say, “It’s over.” I think, “not”. If there was nothing to hide, why, oh why, oh why, dear DemonDeac, do you think Obama is fighting so hard to keep his birth certificate from being released?

You completely underestimate the power of political correctness, the fear of lawyers, and the cult of celebrity. There is no "conspiracy" per se, more like a consistent mindset amongst the brainwashed.

Where did you see that Hawaii “says he is legit”? That is not what any article says.

Its over.

Those words, used in conjunction with anything to do with Obama are defeatist words. Those words serve to encourage and embolden the people who would ram socialism down our throats and take over our country.

We must not give up. Especially this early in the game. We may have a very long fight ahead of us, but we must not wave any white flags.

Americans don't do that.

Perhaps they should bring suit against those who have verified he is legit?

For a correction, is it not required that anyone running for President provide proof that he/she was born in this country and is a citizen? I am a “reasonable” member of FR and has this concern as well. Accept this a gentle correction.

"I personally do not think that someone could get to this point with something so fundamental and so hard to hide in their background."

Yet no one, to my knowledge, has produced a single witness to say that he was born in Hawaii. No medical staff, no neighbors, no family. Wierd. I also think this is going nowhere, though if the rumors persist on a low level, and he contunues to be unable to address them, it will eventually do some damage to the Messiah.
