A high-level adviser for Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Cali) was charged Wednesday with receiving and distributing child pornography.
Although Jeff Rosato was arrested and fired last Friday, this story has garnered very little attention from the mainstream press.
Do you think the media would have been equally disinterested if he worked for a Republican?
While you ponder, here are the details reported by the Associated Press Thursday:

Not a surprise....except the part about being fired that is.

This should be getting some national attention. Pass it on.
If the guy were Republican, it would be lead story on Nightly News. Bob Schieffer would open his Sunday morning show with it...
Wasn’t Bernie Ward also a Boxer aid? Connection? Snitch?
bump...keep this in the headlines!
I lived for several years near San Francisco and in Santa Cruz and came across my fair share of “Fag Hags” (i.e. women who like the company of homosexuals). Every single one of them was well aware that their friends were attracted to teenage boys and NONE were offended by it. A couple of them even liked to crack jokes about it.
I guess we can’t quote a word of AP here, but the headline and the lead sentence lay it out clearly. Aid to Barbara Boxer, Democrat. Child Porn. FBI. All very much to the front.
Normally they don’t mention “Democrat” in this sort of context, and they bury the connection to someone like Boxer on a back page, if they mention it at all. But in this case it’s right up front the way it’s supposed to be—but seldom is.
I don’t know how much play the mass media will give this story, however. AP sends the stories around, and they choose whether to run them, whether to front page them, how often to follow them up. I imagine this will blow over very quickly.
Don’t forget this democrat staffer caught last year doing the same thing:

Oh, how judgemental!
Who are we to judge who someone loves!
I hope Jeff sues Boxer for not being tolerant of his life-style choice.
MrB, at least I will be in good company when we both go to the re-education camps.
msnbc is on the case and chimes in with these headlines ...
